Following a recent Wolfsbane promo, the spotlight shifts to Cannonball for this latest social media tease for Josh Boone's New Mutants movie.

In the comics, Sam Guthrie took work in a coal mine to help his family make ends meet, and when he became trapped in a cave his mutant blasting ability manifested for the first time. This seems to suggest that the film will follow suit, and that Sam and his teammates may be forced to revisit the terrifying events of their pasts.

Keep en eye out for more from The New Mutants while we anxiously await that full trailer.

This looks like a Netflix movie.

@Kevwebsz - It has a very low-budget, TV-quality vibe to it.

@Kevwebsz - I think Fox was trying to make a niche out of these low budget type genres because they think that's how they would get the most money. Even Split was filmed for 2 months but it looked way more cinematic than this. I mean, the New Mutants in comics ARE a spinoff from X-Men, so why are the X-Men movies so big budgeted but this looks like a T.V. movie almost. They went too far with this whole low budget thing. New mutants powers are very vibrant and out there, and they're meant to be the replacement of the X-Men so to speak, whereas this looks like a fan film based on the property where instead they're in a mental hospital or some shit.

"Demon Bear Saga is like a Superhero Horror movie."

*Fox only hears "horror movie".*

Drink it in, Fox-folks. Enjoy it while you can.
