Hugh Jackman made a surprise appearance this morning at SDCC to promote his new movie Real Steel. But of course fans also wanted to know about the upcoming Wolverine movie which will now be directed by James Mangold after Darren Aronofsky had to leave the project. You can see a vid of Jackman discussing the movie, revealing it's shoot date etc but what isn't on there is the following..
“I’m filming Les Miserables in February, but before that I will be filming Wolverine 2 in October. Chris McQuarrie has written a fantastic script and it should turn out really good. I’ll fight the Silver Samurai in it so that should be exciting. Most of the filming will take place in Japan.”
Not much of a surprise considering the movie will be based on the Japan Saga, but just in case anyone thought some liberties might be taken(not exactly unheard of after all!) it's nice to have it confirmed. As for the title, is it still
The Wolverine? I haven't head it called that since Aronofsky departed. Anyway, we'l keep on calling it
Wolverine 2 for the time being.
Anyway who do you guys think would make a good Silver Samurai?
