And Aussie-born Hugh was only too happy to back the fund-raising bid after revealing his own family had British Army connections.
Hugh, 40 — whose parents were both born in England — said: “My sister Rowan was in the Army. She was in the British Intelligence. “She served in Iraq for six to nine months, so it was close to home. In typical army fashion, she wouldn’t reveal too much. I suspected there were some very tough experiences, but she didn’t talk about that a great deal. Like all servicemen and women there is a genuine toughness about them. They tend to deal with it on their own. I think it’s great there are charities that help wounded soldiers — physically and mentally"
