First Trailer For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Will Be Attached To STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

First Trailer For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Will Be Attached To STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Well, it sounds like Captain America: Civil War won't be the only trailer debuting in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December as a new report has revealed that Fox plans on releasing the highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse trailer the same weekend! Come check it out!

Late last month, Collider reported that Marvel Studios was planning on debuting the eagerly awaited first trailer for Captain America: Civil War ahead of Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December. Considering both films are Disney products, that move wasn't necessarily too surprising as it was expected by many.

However, earlier tonight, Collider dropped another bombshell and it's that 20th Century Fox is also planning on debuting the first trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, their highly anticipated follow-up to the critically acclaimed X-Men: Days Of Future Past, ahead of the upcoming Star Wars sequel. Writer/producer Simon Kinberg confirmed the report: “I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.” Sounds exciting!

With Star Wars occupying an unprecendented amount of screens during the mid-December weekend, it shouldn't be too shocking that nearly every major studio in town is attemping to attach their biggest 2016 trailers to the J.J. Abrams-directed film. Expect to hear another big trailer or two join the party as December 18th inches closer.

What do you guys think? Excited for X-Men: Apocalypse? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-Men: Apocalypse, opening in theaters everywhere May 27, 2016. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse features:
Director: Bryan Singer
Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/Professor X
Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique
Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast

Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert
Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers/Cyclops

@TheRealRemyLebeau Don't see Star Wars at all and you will avoid it :)

But I'm 99.9% sure when that mighty X-MEN trailer drops online. You will be one of the 1st people in the comments section, spewing your usual nonsense.

Lol. It's funny when people begin to realize that it's just business with these companies. Imagine how much it costs to attach your trailer to Star Wars. Fox paid dearly for it, why would Marvel give a shit? Disney would gladly take that money.

"BvS has a trailer linked to SW??? No way. Why would Marvel let them??"

Fox releasing their X-Men trailer on the same day as Civil War's trailer will indeed steal its thunder. Only an idiot like you would believe otherwise.

Alice last week, Dory this week, both going to be attached to Good Dinosaur on Thanksgiving.

So, yeah, both Civil War and Apocalypse trailers will probably be online 2-3 weeks before playing with Force Awakens.

@TheRealRemyLebeau

And let's not forget that one of the producers of BvS said that a new trailer would hit before the end of the year, hinting that it would debut in SW's premiere. That's another trailer that will steal Marvel's thunder.

@Curmudgeon

I totally forgot about Finding Dory. That's three Disney trailers (SW, Alice 2, and Dory) that have debuted before Civil War's trailer.

Why are people acting like this is some type of unheard of thing? Trailers can play in front of ANY movie, Marvel has had trailers in front of DC movies and vice-versa. It's all business
