RUMOR: Hugh Jackman Will Reportedly Be A Part Of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Reshoots

Hugh Jackman's involvement in X-Men: Apocalypse has always been quite a mystery, but now a new report has potentially shed some light on whether we'll see his fan favorite Wolverine show up next May. We also have news on when reshoots are scheduled. Come check it out!

"I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice. I'm the Wolverine."

Long-time X-Men star Hugh Jackman has already announced that he'll be hanging up the claws in 2017 when his third solo Wolverine outing hits theaters, however, with three X-Men universe films (Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, & Gambit) arriving next year, it's hard not to imagine that he'll show up in at least one, if not two, of those three.

Considering Wolverine's relatively ambiguous status at the end of Bryan Singer's critically acclaimed X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which sees him being fished out of the Potomac River by Mystique posing as William Stryer before being seen again in the future reunited with his original castmates. It's always been somewhat assumed that Jackman would make at least some sort of appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse to somewhat clarify what became of him. However, when the film wrapped in September, Jackman was shooting Eddie The Eagle and hadn't been spotted on the Apocalypse set once throughout its extensive five month shoot, although there was that one report of a specific prop being fitted for the Academy Award-nominated Jackman.

A new report from Le Journal De Montréal has potentially shared some very interesting details regarding reshoots. The Journal reveals that the Singer-directed film, which is currently deep in post-production. will return to Montréal in January for a few weeks of reshoots. Since reshoots are fairly commonplace amongst major big-budget blockbuster films, this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, however, here's where it does get interesting. While uncertain about which stars will return, the journal then adds that they have reason to believe that "Hugh Jackman (aka Wolverine) will be on hand" this time around.

What this means exactly and/or the extent of his involvement is yet-to-be seen, and this report should probably be labeled as a rumor for the time-being, but if proven true, it would certainly be a welcome addition.

What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-Men: Apocalypse, opening in theaters everywhere May 27, 2016. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse features:
Director: Bryan Singer
Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/Professor X
Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique
Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast
Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse
Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert
Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers/Cyclops
Sophie Turner as Jean Grey
Alexandra Shipp as Ororo Munroe/Storm
Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver
Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok
Ben Hardy as Warren Worthington III/Angel
Lana Condor as Jubilation Lee/Jubilee
Olivia Munn as Betsy Braddock/Psylocke
Tómas Lemarquis as Caliban

Don't get your hopes up guys... I remember when he was rumored for re-shoots in first class and we all know how that ended... and we all know how Singer loves to disappoint real x-men fans ;)

Maybe an end credit scene that takes place in the future setting up Old Man Logan?

I remember that Hugh Jackman was originally meant to star in Drive, I would love to see him star in an original action or sci fi film, perhaps something like the upcoming Altered Carbon based on the book by Richard Morgan.

That would've been interesting. Would love to see Jackman do some original action flick. He did do original sci fi with Chappie....didn't go too well. I'd like to see him star in something better

@ComicsBornAndBred

Exactly, wonder how that film would have turned out with him.

With Pan and Eddie the Eagle film, I think he might start moving away from action films, especially post Wolverine.

Trash Fox all you want but Wolverine, Deadpool, and Gambit are my top 3 X-Men characters and they're all getting or have had movies so I'm in heaven right now.

Hell, Wolverine should be in this movie anyway since it's so far the last X-Men titled film.

Am I the only one that liked the old Rumor of Hugh Jackman Playing Goku in a Dragon Ball Z saga?
this was before the whole franchise was killed by a horrible movie.

But Yeah I think If they started a DBZ movie with Adult Goku and start off with the Saiyen Saga, Raditz, at the beginning of the movie and Napa and Vegeta showing up half way through.

Hugh Jackman as Goku
Tom Hardy as Vegta
Nathan Jones as Napa
Rupert Friend as Piccolo
Asa Butterfield as Gohan

lol... im not serious about the cast, but I would totally love a DBZ trilogy done the correct way.

I am the biggest wolverine fan...n I never complain about seeing more of him, especially with Jackman playing him. But I do admit, basing nearly every story around him is too much. He works better as a side character. He's like the joker..less you know about him the better. With that said...it looks like they are moving away from him, and I think they finally have a good cast and characters to do so. The prop is a back pack, so I'm guessing the scene or scenes will be him after he left weapon x

wasn't this supposed to be sorta like a reset for the franchise, and that they were recasting wolverine at some point?

Same as Marvel with Iron Man....nothing wrong with that....They just want bums on seats...

Of course he will. I'm suprised that he wasn't in it from the start. I hope they don't recast him when it's over just retire the character
