So often THAT'S what it comes down to:
A great (or really good) movie is made that has super beings in it.
But it's not a good (fill in the blank) specific super hero movie.
SOOOO many people get hurt feelings when you point that out.

94 on rotten tomatoes. Singer triumphs again. Lol @ the haters saying it would flop critically & wouldn't make more money then Cap, Spidey or GOTG.

So basically if you're looking for a good adaptation you're shit out of luck, but if you want a very well made movie in terms of action, performances and looks then you're in for a treat? Sounds like my cup of tea.

@Gamera623 - are you joking? ASM2 is like the Superman III of Spidey movies. W/the exception of a few of the scenes between Peter and Gwen and Peter and May, it was a horrific mess and an embarrassment.

Yeah, everyone was all excited to have a Spider-Man who jokes around like the Spidey in the comics...except he only does it in one scene and he's doing it WHILE PEOPLE AND THINGS ARE GETTING RUN OVER.

Awful. I don't always agree w/critics, but when something gets a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes, there IS a reason for that.

@YoungThanos Jez, yea your right...Last i heard it was most expensive CBM EVER! Meaning it costs MORE then Superman Returns (who directed that?) at 270m...so 275m? And at over 200m for marketing...thats 475m or 950m to BREAK EVEN...thats fantasy land stuff...It does sound and look MUCH BETTER then X3 W:O and FC...so better is good, but profitable and better is WAY better.. :)

@Shamo 94 on RT with a caveat(from RT not me) that says not enough people have rated it yet..and its not like Fox would do early release to a favorable audience like every other studio..lets just be clear..

p.s. ASM2 makes Raimi's 3rd Spider-Man movie look like Citizen Kane 2 (well, I mean, come on, it doesn't make it look like Citizen Kane!)

Sorry I was just so incensed at how bad ASM2 movie was. It was insulting.

The movie cost 225 mil and a marketing budget far less than ASM2, probably something around Cap Winter Soldier, so yeah this is NOT ASM2 all over again, and its certainly not the most expensive in terms of simple production budget.

@ekrolo2 Nope, sorry man. Recent EW (i believe....) called it the most expensive CBM ever..the official budget was 225 and was reported over that MONTHS before the shoots and CGI were done....its the second most expensive movie Fox has ever made....

And it was a BILLION times shittier than ALL the X-Men movies in terms of quality, even Last Stand and Origins are better than it. X2 and First Class are on a whole different dimensional level than that PODS.
