Fox Launches "X-Perts" on Facebook and Twitter to Promote X-MEN: First Class

X-Men fans are the X-Perts, and Fox wants to hear from FANS! So, they are giving you a chance to submit questions to cast and filmmakers via Twitter and Facebook.

On the heels of the trailer launch (the #4 worldwide trending topic on Twitter on 2/10, #1 Most viewed video on YouTube on 2/12, almost 7M views of our YouTube trailer post to date), we wanted to announce our next cool thing: X-PERTS (fun play on EXPERTS…)

Fans can submit questions two ways:
- Tweet @XMenMovies
- Post on the wall of Facebook.com/XMenMovies

So, I want to announce it all (soft-launch) this Friday, and the program will launch the program on 3/1 – that’s when users can start submitting questions
Starting March 9 – a member of the cast or crew will post answers to fan questions (approx ten questions) to the official X-Men Movies Facebook page. Each week a new cast/filmmaker will answer questions - the program will last through opening week. This gives fans the opportunity to showcase their “X-Pertise” within the Fan community, and engage with filmmakers.

you can't be an expert when when all you've kept of the source material were the characters names. the trailer was already upsetting enough but the fact that they are now using this platform as a way of making excuses for the sh!t show they've put together just makes my expectations for this film sink even further

wow you sound kind of stupid @Flames i work in film and still i believe it's not about the money and especially when you're taking something that has such a large fan basis and running it into the ground for the sake of making money. this movie was created as a contractual obligation (let me know if im using to may big words for you)to produce xmen films for the sake of rights. they shot for two months for gods sakes even most shitty films can go through as much as six months of shooting and that's presuming it's heavily saturated with SFX and action sequences. post production be anywhere from two to four months of work and that's not even counting the time to reshoot. you're reasons for standing behind this are bland, not to mention the only reason why this movie is being made is because of the popularity the source material garners from fans so xmen wouldn't even be a franchise if it wasn't for us. i'm not asking fox to follow the books verbatim i'm asking them to respect the characters that i loved and grew up with. find some f#cking integrity jerk off

why even take the name First Class if you knew it would cause this uproar?

Lol. A little late don't ya think? Maybe they should've thought about doing this before they made the first crappy X men film. Now First Class is finished so what use is it to get input from the fans? All they're going to get is a ton of hate mail. lol. Although I can't wait to hear how they answer some of these questions...or which questions they avoid for that matter.

and I really wish uneducated fans of this movie would stop using the excuse that Cyclops and the others aren't the real first class, cause that is very much not true. Darwin and his team are not the first class they were the original second class that was sent to Krakoa after the captured first team. as well i'm going to point this out again Alex is not Scott's dad and Angel Salvador wasn't introduced until Grant Morrison's run on New Xmen in the early 2000's.

Fox really needs to take a look at maybe pushing the movie back to maybe the Christmas season, there aren't a lot of good movies out around that time and it would probably make more money. They also only really have a month and a half before the movie needs to be shipped to physical production to get sent around the world. I'm sure that in probably the over 20 hours of Matthew Vaughn's original footage and whoever is directing the reshoots' footage there is at least a decent hour and 45 minutes to work with. They just can't keep to this deadline and expect to make a profit.

It was said [frick]ing months ago that this film will be set in the 60s and that it would be a prequel to FIRST TWO X-Men films!
It wouldn't make any sense if Cyclops and Jean would be teenagers in the 60s.

Tell me why in the hell would i spend money on a film that is so obviously shitty?
