Deadline is reporting that Oscar Isaac - best known for his roles in
Sucker Punch and the upcoming
Drive - has landed a role in the upcoming
Bourne spinoff/sequel,
The Bourne Legacy; he will portray a 'major' character known as 'Number 3'. Nothing else is known about the role other than the fact that the character is 'another brainwashed assassin'.
Isaac has just landed the role of "Number 3," another brainwashed assassin in the film, and it's a major role in the movie that Gilroy will direct.
Interestingly, Isaac has previously auditioned for the lead role, but he lost out to Jeremy Renner. He joins Renner (
The Hurt Locker), Rachel Weisz (
Constantine), and Edward Norton (
The Incredible Hulk) in the latest installment of the hit franchise.
