lol i dont know anything about the green lantern mytho except the yellow ring is stronger than green right? but im excited to see this...i bought gotham knight havent seen it,havent bought wonder woman but i bought superman doomsday on blu ray so this ll be my second dc premier movie i get

As a GL fan, can't wait to see this, it looks nice. I noticed Sinestro's wearing his Sinestro Corp outfit, not the old school black w/ blue trim. Summers looking nice and Green already

This looks to be great. We need a Flash flick next. I am hoping this all goes to a JL movie. I think your right FattSmelliott on the DC animated movie comment. Marvel is working on them also. I just wish DC would get their act together on the live action movies.

I don't understand how anyone could say DC is beating Marvel on animated films.

DC HAS
Superman Doomsday - Just barely ok
Gotham Knights - horrible crap
Wonder Woman - pretty good , but over hyped
Justice League NF- Great

MARVEL HAS
Avenger- Good
Avengers 2 - OK
Next Avengers - ok
Hulk Vs - Good
Dr. Strange - Awesome
Ironman- OK

I just found my dad father day present You know it nice that we get these animated flicks I think animated is the only way to do our heros right.

I know there are people that have a love feast for live action but its nice to know that the company still care about their real fans

Look at Marvel it has turn it back on not just me but everyone that made it the way it is today they have made spiderman boring and they have gone to these Live action movie for people who wont even bother reading comics yet call themself better fans of that hero then we are.

Dellamorte 1872 don't you think it even more foolish to show everything in the comic I mean come on if they did it your way then not only would they get sue for taken someone idea but they would lose money because why paid to see something you can get for free

Marvel is clearly superior

Superman Doomsday - never seen
Gotham Knights - [frick]ING INCREDIBLE AND MIND BLOWING. I WAS ALSO VERY HIGH :)
Wonder Woman - have not seen but Wonder Women is kinda lame
Justice League NF- looks to be really good

MARVEL HAS
Avenger- was pretty good, followed the Ultimate story really well
Avengers 2 - have yet to see it
Next Avengers - never have and never will see this horrible idea for a movie
Hulk Vs - amazing, the reason why Marvel is superior
Dr. Strange - have yet to see it but can only assume it is pure gold
Ironman- was crap. barely any iron man in it and was a stupid concept

I love the animated movies..and for once i agree with supermike..it would be nice if the live action movies payed as much attention as the comics.

stupify_me its obviously down to personal taste but i found every Marvel animated movie except Hulk vs to be poorly animated, scripted, voice acted crap! Dc put a hell of a lot more effort into the stories, animation and voice talent for their animated films.

So realfirst you have seen ONE Dc movie which you loved! And your just going to go ahead and assume you wont think the rest are up to much..you have seen 2 Marvel movies which you thought were ok and one you loved..one you hated..and assume one is good(which is a turd by the way)

sounds like DC still have Marvel beat to me!


You shouldnt make a statement like "Marvel is clearly superior" and then make a list of 10 movies having only seen 4 of them!

I am a hardcore Marvel fanboy, but the DC animated films tend to be better.

Avengers 1 and Hulk Vs. were the only ones worth something.

Superman: Doomsday and Justice League: New Frontier were excellent.

I have not seen Wonder Woman, but I hope this continues the tradition.

DC is much better at animated movies than MARVEL, MARVEL rushes them out and DC's are more quality!!!! As for Animated being better than LIVE ACTION! As story wise goes yeah normally, as movie going goes nope, never!!!! But unlike MARVEL UNIVERSE movies DC/WARNERS up'ed the game big time look at TDK and my personal fav = WATCHMEN (Best comicbook movie ive seen on the live screen story wise and movie going wise). Animated will never have that REAL FEEL to them like LIVE does!!!! As for GL ANIMATED,,, im busying it, oh yeah!!! ; )

I wish they would always give any comicbook character his training wheels with a very good cartoon movie before any live action anything. This way, they could either help solidify the source material OR try any minor changes to see how they work. The cartoon world just seems like the next logical step to me.

As far as marvel vs dc cartoons, they're pretty equal. Its just like the marvel vs dc comics debate. THey've both put out their share of crap and gold and gold crap so why even argue the point? "I know why betty." why? "Cause its fun!"

I hate to say it, but... I agree with Supermike.
There, I said it... Now I have to go wash off my tongue.

I think the way of the future with the comic book properties is animated film! It's the only way to trully do everything accurately, and true to the books! The only thing stopping them is the desire to compete with animated studios like Dreamworks and Pixar, and animators like Bluth or Bakshi. If done correctly, they would KILL in the theaters!

Yea im not gonna lie, im very hardcore marvel fan and DC has been murdering marvel in the animated department. Justice League NF was great, Gothem knights was crazy good(tho DC kinda cheated because it was done by japanese ainime studios), and wonder woman was amazing, im not even a huge wonder woman fan but the movie was so well put together, and green lantern is lookin like a classic already, DC has definitly found there nitch in the animated department, as for marvel, Hulk vs. saved the genre because i was about to give up watching marvel animated in general with all the crappy movies. I think what helped the Hulk vs. so much was that it was violent and very mature, were as the other movies were very kidy-like, if marvel continues to make animated movies more like there comics they will without a doubt catch up to DC in the animated department.

HOly CRAPPP!!! Wonder Woman already came out and i missed it?!?!?!?!! I am going to get it right now! wow i suck, but you know who sucks even more.... Any idiot that has seen BAtman Gotham Knights and didnt think it was at the least freakin cool in everything they tried to do and the different take on the character was kick ass! Gotham Knights is the best out there so far. I want to see a sick ass Lobo flick.

I love these animated movies. Both Marvel & DC. I'm a bigger Marvel fan but I have to say I've been enjoying the DC animated movies just as much if not more. So I'm stoked about this one. I just scrolled up & I would have to agree 110% with zinext. My thoughts exactly. Excellent post!
But you know what I would really like to see is either Marvel or DC do is a 3D animated movie! I want to get into graphic arts just so I can do a Marvel movie like Monster vs. Aliens(but a lot better. I sort of thought the movie itself sucked. The animation was awesome though.)

Sorry Supermike I ready the marvel and DC comics religiously I have more subscriptions than I can count and I still prefer live action over animated films. Animated films never have any where near as good of a story there is always to much going on. Also with live action you know what you will be seeing there are far to many different animated styles and a lot of them look terrible, but get called "artistic" which is crap. Also live action is much better for acting you can convey much more emotion and there are so many more subtle inclusions that an actor does with their body.. I hate to say it, but Video Games are better when it comes to acting as well because Video Game editors sometimes put so much detail in to the movements and expressions of their characters that you really connect with them. Sadly most animated films never bother do show facial acting or body movements.

Let be Honestly Why do we have to wait 3 year for a live action movie and paid 80 dollar to see it on screen with half of good stuff remove so the love story can be told when we get a Animated film in 6 weeks with both the action part and the love story together and it only coast us 20 dollar.

I know everyone think Live action hero movie are perfect but How come everyone that watch a Animated films of a hero will buy the comic book but anyone who go to see the Live action movie Doesn't that it true fox did a survey that people who go to live action movie do not read the comic book yet call themself the greatest (insert hero name) ever even though they only see movie of the hero. But when the show the Animated films Every went and bought a comic book.

I Just think my money would be better spent on a Animated film then a water down version of my favorite hero's
