The first episode for Dragonball kai has aired and has turned out to be better than DBZ.

This episode was real amazing. It was so good, it made you want to watch the intro and ending song. If you're a fan of Dragonball and Dragonball Z, you'll want to watch this. HungryNews will try and post every episode that airs. I'm going to post the subbed one when it comes out, but for now, just enjoy the chinese.

Yeah TOTALLY AWESOME especially the intro and ending but... the rest looks almost exactly like DBZ. The Goku in the episode looked so gay compared to the intro Goku =[. And is it just me or do the voices sound messed up. Bardock sounded like a little girl. Frieza sounded like a 45 year old fat guy. And Goku sounded like a 5 year old. I get that he acts like a little kid and stuff but his voice was just hilarious.

Dude they are chinese voices and thats how they shounded in the japenese Dragonball z. We just have to wait for the english Dragonball Kai. and for the subtitles, they were not released yet and when they are realeased I will post them. So it might be you(LOL)

wait I am confused is dragonball kai a followup of GT or just remakes or it's own thing or what? I'm on my iPhone right now so I just watched a few clips on YouTube not this video displayed. answers anyone?

DBKai is a re-animated series of DBZ.

It's going to follow the manga more closely, taking out all the filler that was put in for the tv show, making it a faster paced action cartoon.

They also added animation to fit the new standard Anime frame, since the standard size was smaller when DBZ first aired.

Sooo.... it's just DBZ with a DB recap and an amazing intro? I was really looking forward to Kai, mainly because it was cutting out the nonsense but also because of the new animation, but the animation quality looks identical. Can we get a side-by-side screen cap for comparison, because I really see no difference...

I would totally love to see the Goku vs. Vegeta (1st time) fight with this new style they got goin here... looks pretty slick :)

Oh my grief, that intro is bad ass! If they could redo z looking like THAT I'd get a little over excited. Animation looks slick, sounds cool, I'm happy DBZ is getting a second wind but imagine if it was done like the intro, those fight scenes would be awesome!

Great! I love the intro. It would be nice if they did some new movies with that art. You can tell they the upgrade and I like it. Unless they stick to total script and change some voices, please no on the English... Not if Funimation does their thing again.

I just watched about 10 mins of that..and even without any subtitles it was still better than the entire DBE movie! I understand why fans of this show are so pissed now.

There was some stuff that was newly added. I hope the guys are doing this for all episodes. It was alright. The best thing was the intro, but that's it. I rather stay with the DBZ remastered version.

I wasn't being racist NubaX it's just funny that the original japanese cartoon is voiced by chinese people instead of japanese. How does that make any sense =[. If the cartoon airs in China I see why you would get chinese people to voice the characters but why are the characters in the original japanese cartoon voiced by chinese people =[. And yeah Supermike you probably get what I think of yer response.

And besides, the Japanese DBZ was voiced by Japanese actors, not chinese. The show just has a slight Chinese feel to it.

It's really Japanese. It was probably a typo.

Why else would you have this exact same foreign cast in all the DVD releases in the "Original Japanese Audio" track or on the "Japanese" language settings in the video games.
