BOX OFFICE: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Has Already Passed $200 Million Worldwide

Avengers: Age of Ultron is already off to an amazing start at the international box office, grossing upwards of $200 million in just a matter of days. Hit the jump for details on that and some thoughts on how well the sequel is going to perform when it reaches North America and China...

Avengers: Age of Ultron has opened with an amazing $201.2 million worldwide after just a few days of release. The sequel is outpacing The Avengers by 44%, and has so far only actually debuted in 44 markets. There are still many more to go, including North America next Friday (where it's expected to gross upwards of $200 million during its opening weekend). It reaches China on May 12th, another territory which will give the movie a massive boost. The chances of it topping the $1.5 billion haul of The Avengers are looking very good at this point. Avengers: Age of Ultron was #1 in all territories, and those at the top were South Korea ($28.2M), the UK ($27.3M), Russia ($16.2M), Brazil ($13.1M), Australia ($13.1M), and France ($12.4M). Be sure to stay tuned for updates.

Marvel must be one of the must profitable film companies, they have yet to report a loss on a film.

@VisualMaximus "basement DC nerds"? I watch a foreign bootleg twice, and an English one once(it got taken down) because I can't wait to see the film. I'm still planning on seeing it in theaters as well. By the way, I like both Marvel and DC.

Just wait until it reaches the USA. Hopefully this movie can bury that awful F&F7 movie...

The movie might not be as much of a fun ride till the end as The Avengers but its still a pretty good movie. Loved it, gonna watch it a few more times.

Oh and by the way I've seen the movie, I work at a movie theater (Harkins) and one of the benefits is seeing movies early.

And I'll say this.... it's a fun popcorn action movie if you are a fan of The Avengers or MCU this is the movie for you. I really need to see it again until I have FINAL judgement.

Oh and Hawkeye has some of the best moments in the movie, Quicksilver does not hold a [frick]ing candle to the X-Men Quicksilver.

One of my brothers in law constantly gets bootlegs that remind me of that episode of Seinfeld. And then he buys the bluray anyway.

Patience!

@VisualMaximus is the most paranoid Marvel fanboy on these forums, everyone else on this topic is having a laugh and along he comes with a DC comment.....Jeez kid.

So $200 million world wide? Doesn't world wide mean ummm the world? Has it opened in the U.S. yet? Has anyone actually read the reviews on RT? Just saying.

I liked quicksilver pretty much, if anything after the movie ended, me and my friends were talking about either Quicksilver or Hawkeye. Quicksilver was really quicksilver here. His attitude and everything suits him even if he didn't have much to do in the movie, he was quite memorable.

Hawkeye does have the best moments/lines in the movie and Quicksilver sadly is not as good as you guys most likely want him to be. The film is good but it could've easily been 30mins longer to fix most glaring issues with it.

I watched it 2 times. Great movie! Thor is airborne a lot and VISION is so damn good. That Vision birth scene is one the best moments in the movie. ULTRON creation wa setup nicely and was evolving during the movie. Hawkeye got really nice moments.

I believe Marvel has a lot in their sleeves and why blow all now, because there are so many movies to come in next few years
