Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in 4200 theaters in the US tomorrow, and will be previewed in a number of them this evening. In just a week of release, the sequel has now passed $255 million overseas, meaning that it's now a quarter of the way to $1 billion. Recent estimates have the movie opening around the $210 million - $230 million mark this weekend in North America. Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently pacing well ahead of The Avengers, and it still has a number of international territories to open in today and over the next few weeks. China will obviously be a very big opening.

I'm excited seeing it Saturday. I won't be watching May v Pac because I don't want to give money to a dude that has been convicted 5 times of beating women.

I'm honestly hesitant to predict it will set another opening record... No other film has come within $30m of the original Avengers weekend record. People assume it will be able to top that easily, but it's an insanely hard fete to reach that level, and I'm not convinced that there's room for improvement, stateside. Inflation hasn't gone up all that much since the first one.

We'll see, but I don't want to put the film in a position where it must do what no other film has ever done before or it is seen as a disappointment.

I don't think the boxing match will have much of an impact. I think that those who would watch the fight probably wouldn't catch a Saturday night movie anyway. First weekend around here is sold out.

I loved this movie. I can't wait to see it again. Seeing an early preview is torture when it hasn't been released, so you can't rewatch it.
