Hayley Atwell Not Playing "Old Peggy" In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The other day Hayley Atwell revealed, Joss Whedon had written in her into Avengers: Age of Ultron. For those of you hoping she would be battling Ultron and his minions with her walker, you would be wrong. No, "Old Peggy" will be in the Avengers sequel.

MTV's Kevin P. Sullivan was in the Comic-Con press room and did a quick interview with Hayley Atwell. There, he asked her about her Avengers: Age of Ultron role which she recently announced. She told Kevin that she will not be seen as the present day "Old Peggy" in Avengers 2 - as she was in Captain Ameria: The Winter Soldier. The safe bet, 'Peggy Carter' will be used in a flashback sequence. Last we saw of 'Peggy' she was in a retirement home suffering with alzheimers. The role was a last minute addition. Joss and Hayley had gone out for drinks and during a conversation he suggested he write her into the flick and she eagerly accepted.

Flashback. Or Ultron is manipulating Steve's mind and makes him imagine Peggy.

If it's a flashback I bet she died and it's Steve remembering her. Or it could be part of the rumored time travel plot.

Okay, seriously, I know CBM is a tabloid but the spelling and grammy here is [frick]ing awful. So much so in fact that you're often saying the opposite of what you mean to.

"No, "Old Peggy" will be in the Avengers sequel."

This is read as "No,(with the comma making it an independent clause) "Old Peggy" WILL be in the Avengers sequel."

Shit on a [frick]ing biscuit, did any of you even finish grade school?

"on a role" is not the same thing as "on a roll"

HAHAHA Alzheimers jokes are so [frick]ing funny. It's not like it's a horrible neurodegenerative disease that robs people of themselves and their families in the final years of life.

You guys may get the scoops the fastest but jesus-fish-[frick]ing-christ have a little journalistic quality.

Maybe Ultron finds a way to get in all of their heads and Cap's sequence has to do with Peggy?

I'm not much of a stickler for fixing accidental typos and all that, but this time I gotta agree with ComradeGrey. In this case, it completely changes the meaning of the article in the teaser. And Alzheimer's jokes are NEVER in good taste. You'd think the site that suffered through the internet-wide embarrassment of that certain "satirical" article would know better by now. CBM has its reputation for a reason though, I guess.

Most likely a flashback or a apparition. However, if Hayley can be young Peggy in the current timeline that would be dope/

Honestly that's good. She's served her purpose for these movies. Bring on Sharon if anything or HELLO Ms. Marvel. Whedon is saying there are 4 prominent female roles I hope the last one belongs to Carol Danvers already!

That's great.

Now I will have to agree with some of the others on the heading. I normally could care less. But man that was awful. It took me a few reads to figure out that you meant "old Peggy" would not be in AOU.

Those quotes we've gotten about Scarlet Witch being in tune with "parallel worlds and parallel times" and being able to "get inside your head" makes me think she'll be responsible for making Steve see Peggy (assuming Peggy does appear in a hallucination/flashback that is).
