this movie is filled with this sort of stuff, it looks like a live action anime in some parts.

Just saw AOU and unless you are 100% die hard Marvel studios fan boy this movie was not all it was shaked up to be. I fear that Marvel is becoming a assembly line of movie studios that is just shoving out movies for the sake of having continuity. The pace and editing for the film was a little weird. The one liners were so annoying and where thrown in at random times. The lines Whedon gave war machine during that final battle was cringe worthy and goofy as fu**. Ultron came off as a cry baby and not as this menacing evil I thought he was going to be. Ultron was to easily defeated sorta like loki in Avengers 1. idk Marvel needs to really shake up things a bit because everything is starting to look the same.

Just got back from it. This movie is truly amazing. There's no doubting that Joss Whedon has delivered big time.
I'm seeing it again tomorrow for sure, I loved it so much.

I'm fine with people having different opinions on movies. What I'm not cool with is people thinking their opinion is a fact and should overrule everyone else's. I gave AOU 9/10.To me, it was a letdown but I appreciated all the good in the movie and decided to award the heart put into it. Regardless, I have many issues with this movie. Mixed tone, unnecessary one liners (humour is good when used well), no stakes, slightly off characters, random character arcs (a certain romance) and a disappointing Villain. I loved Spader's performance as Ultron but did not like what Whedon did with the character. He was a joke and that's not good enough when the movie is fricking called AGE OF ULTRON! Overall, I enjoyed it and it's worth seeing at least more than once but it was a disappointing sequel in my opinion. It's nowhere close to being a bad movie but as a sequel to the Avengers, it does not hold up.

I wasn't very impressed with that opening tracking shot. Too messy. However, there's another one at the end, when they all assemble to fight the drones... Oh man, THAT was great.

The movie was AWESOME. Only complaints are several obvious scene edits (probably for time), and a decidedly weak -- compared to, say, Skynet -- villain. But if you go in recognizing that Ultron is not the main star of the pic you won't be letdown.

Editing is shitty, but that's because they chopped this film to hell and back.

"I fear that Marvel is becoming a assembly line of movie studios that is just shoving out movies for the sake of having continuity."

You're only fearing that NOW? Iron Man 2 should have tipped you off four years ago, of course that's what the MCU is. Obviously the people behind it are very passionate, but that doesn't stop it from being an assembly line. It's the overall quality of the films that keeps it from slowing down, of which I disagree with you on as far as this film is concerned.

"The one liners were so annoying and where thrown in at random times. The lines Whedon gave war machine during that final battle was cringe worthy and goofy as fu**."

Honestly, I didn't get much of that in this film. Short of the 'clearly you've never made an omelet' line that Ultron gives and Tony's response, it all felt pretty natural to me. And it's been pretty apparent since at least Iron Man 3 that Rhodey has a very fanboy mentality when it comes to the whole War Machine thing, even using it as one of his passwords. I can see him very enthusiastically talking smack to the fleeing Ultron bots as he takes them down.

"Ultron came off as a cry baby and not as this menacing evil I thought he was going to be."

Ultron never cries, whines or does anything like that. He's not a menacing evil beyond what he plans to do and how he plans to do it. His personality and motives are completely flawed and that's the point, he's a messed up alien-artificial intelligence. I agree that making him a one-liner machine and having him be so comedic is kind of a bad move, but it works thanks to Spader's acting, so I give it a pass.

"Ultron was to easily defeated sorta like loki in Avengers 1."

Agreed, for the most part.

"Marvel needs to really shake up things a bit because everything is starting to look the same."

A film series showcasing the same characters in standalone and team-based feature films look the same? Didn't see that coming. Although, I bet you'd be hard-pressed to say that Guardians of the Galaxy looks the same as any of the other Avengers films. And with Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man & Captain Marvel coming in, the MCU is gonna diversify pretty quickly.

If i remember correctly there was a good amount cut from film and that why at some parts of the movie the pacing is off and the scenes cut awkwardly.Still a solid sequel.

100% agreed; while I thought the movie was good (I am a little more forgiving considering that this is just a series of popcorn flicks at least), the Russos will amp up the quality like with TWS.

Good movie. Pacing was awkward in spots, and the lack of introductory exposition/backstory would throw off the uninitiated. The RT rating is understandable.

Far from a perfect movie, and Winter Soldier's still the best Marvel film, but this one's my favorite.

Fantastic movie! Loved that there were two objectives in the third act, stopping ultron AND saving as many people as possible. Cap really did feel like the leader this time around and he earned that title multiple times over. Hawkeye is guaranteed to be a new general audience favorite now as well. If you wanna spend some money at the movie theater and have a great time it doesn't get much better than this.

I do agree with the romance part; it felt genuine and that there was more to their relationship than the sake of the plot
