After nearly two years of constant work, Mauricio Abril finally unveiled this 6 minute video consisting of over 200 black and white illustrations set to the song Knights of Cydonia by British rock band Muse.

A Gotham Fairytale beautifully tells the story of a grandmother recounting a tale about the dark knight himself to her granddaughter through a sequence of illustrated storyboards.

Mauricio does an amazing job of capturing the essence of Batman whilst creating a truly captivating piece of art that sets an atmosphere like no other.

As of now the video only has 12,000 views so be sure to show your support for Mauricio and like the video.

Awesome video, very well made!

Even though i would have preferred the Batman 89/Animated series score....i think it would have been a nice touch....the music used fits very well, plus it was an original short story and the guy wants to make it his own.

More importantly the artwork.....blew me away!

I enjoyed but I felt like a better Muse selection could've been chosen. Just wasn't feeling that one.

I don't normally post articles but I was surprised no one else had already posted this and I felt as though Mauricio deserved the credit, he clearly put in a helluva lot of time and effort and the end result is simply amazing.
As for the music, I thought it fit perfectly, it might just be Muse though; I remember disliking a lot of their songs at first but after getting used to their sound I grew to love them. Besides I think not having Zimmer's music there(that many of us love and associate closely with Batman) may have thrown some of you off.

So thanks for checking it out and be sure to share his video with your friends if you liked it ;)
