With Batman 3 getting a release date for 2012 recently, I thought I would share the top 10 things I would like to see in the 3rd movie of the Nolan trilogy! Here is my top 10:
10. Easter Eggs
While I really don't care to much about this one (which is why I have it at #10) I feel it is necessary for some sort of Easter Egg to be put into all DC movies starting with
Green Lantern, which comes out next year. I know Nolan probably wouldn't do this but it's time WB talks some sense into him and starts expanding the DC cinematic universe.
9. Wayne Manor Rebuilt As you all know, Wayne Manor was destroyed in
Batman Begins by Ra's and The League of Shadows. During
The Dark Knight, Alfred mentioned that Wayne Manor was being rebuilt. I would really like to see the new Wayne Manor in the next Batman movie, especially with a new and updated Batcave!
8. Arkham Asylum Redesign Like me, if you’ve played
Batman: Arkham Asylum, or you’ve read the comic, you know that Arkham is a dark, gloomy, and dangerous place. What we saw in
Batman Begins looked like a regular prison. Nothing too spectacular really. So if Arkham is in the 3rd movie maybe we'll see some villains in their cells. I think it should be like a Tim Burton style to get that great Gothic look back for the Asylum.
7. Joker Cameo This is one of the most debated issues for the next Batman film. I think the Joker should cameo but they don't have to show his face. They could just show him sitting in his Arkham cell and not really show his face. I feel that is necessary for him to cameo or have some kind of reference during the movie. I do think this is a must though for
Batman 3!
6. Detective Work Batman is often called “The World’s Greatest Detective” and it’s time for Nolan to prove it. I’m not talking about using cell phone radar, but actually finding clues and pounding the ground hunting down sources and information.
5. Blackmask This is a must have for me in
Batman 3! Nolan could have Blackmask working for the mob to try and take Batman down, and the Riddler could be the other villain in the movie! I would love to see Blackmask on the big screen for the 1st time! And who better to play him than Daniel Craig!
4. New Batmobile In
The Dark Knight the Batmobile (Tumbler) was destroyed. I think it should be brought back in the 3rd film but with a new design, like in the image above. Nolan could add several new features to it and make it look more like the Batmobile from the comics!
3. New/Updated Batcave While, there wasn't no Batcave in
The Dark Knight, it's time for it to return in
Batman 3! I think it should be heavily updated from it's appearence in
Batman Begins as Wayne was having it all rebuilt. I would love to see some new Batman gadgets in it, along with a new entrance into it (instead of having to go down a elevator).
2. Commissioner Gordon/G.C.P.D. Hunting Batman This was pretty much set up at the end of
The Dark Knight! In the 3rd movie, Nolan could have Batman investigating a crime and then the police arrive and start to hunt him and chase him down! I think this is a must and Nolan knows it!
1. The Riddler Yes, this is a must have for me and many Batman fans! The fact is, the Riddler is the best villain to have in the next Batman film. Nolan can not just ignore the large fanbase of the character, and all of the fans demanding him in
Batman 3. The Riddler MUST be the main villain in
Batman 3 and have Blackmask as the 2nd villain but with a smaller role. And of course, The Riddler should be played by Johnny Depp.
