Aaron Eckhart Discusses Batman 3 Rumors And Two-Face!

The actor who played Harvey Dent a.k.a Two-Face in 2008's The Dark Knight revealed in a recent interview that he likes to keep up with, "all the gossip, like having Angelina Jolie in it or Johnny Depp in it – I'm digging all that kind of stuff!"



"In fact, I just talked to Chris the other day. I saw him and I said, 'So, Angelina as Catwoman?' I talked to him about it as a fan, you know? I'd like to see that. Or Johnny Depp as the Riddler, right?"

"Not at all," he said when asked if he's upset about not coming back as Two-Face in the next movie set for release in 2012. "It was such a great experience to be one off and to be in the movie with Heath Ledger, and to have Chris even put me in the movie is just wonderful. I just feel like it's its own entity. It's its own capsule in the Batman series. So they'll go on and I'll watch them and be very happy with what I have."

I wish he was still alive, but it makes sense for Two-Face unable to survive.

Jolie as Catwoman...I'm not big on that idea.

He would be so easy to bring back, just have the movie start with him in a hospital bed unconscious, but with plastic surgery done, amnesia and no recollection of what he did, He wakes up as the DA but starts flashing back to things he did, next thing you know you've got 2-face all over again and he's even more pissed off at Batman and Gordon when he remembers it all and finds out what they are doing to cover his mistakes up... thats my version :)

Sad!:(... Two-Face is so awesome character to waste, just in one movie, but maybe after Nolan´s Bat flicks someone else wants to give it a shot and create the total copy of the comics we love!:)

Jolie is too old and boney for Catwoman. I think she'd be better as the Black Mask considering she already looks the part. That or Skeletor in the new HeMan movie that will never be.

I like the idea of Dagmara Dominczyk as Catwoman since she is so hot, or she could pull off Talia al Ghul. Either way people would wonder where she came from forgetting she was in The Count of MC.

Awww.. I totally thought Two-Face would be back for the third film.
"We can't let Gotham know what he did" In the end of TDK, a quote along the lines of this one was said. They decided for a funeral to be held for his death, but do we really know he died?? They could've just set-up a fake funeral to clear Harvey Dent's name. Aaron Eckhart could be denying it for a more surprising twist.

Aaron Eckhart is a great actor, and would have been good if he returned but I understand why they are moving on.

He's perfect for other roles in the comic book world... Anyone see a bit of "Thomas Jane" "Punisher" in him? I do... Since he was being replaced Aaron would have been a good replacement but that never happened.

The last Punisher movie sucked bad too... lol Don't think there will be more anytime soon.

I really don't think that there's much more they could do with his character in Batman 3 and after the sad death of Heath Ledger (meaning we won't see the Joker) I'm ok with them going off in a slightly different direction with sone new villains. It's a real pity that it won't include the Joker though because I imagine that Chris Nolan could have continued his arc into the third movie with ease.

Frank@ Pearce as Black Mask definitely man!:) Hardy or Robert Carlyle as Warren White (The Great White Shark), Javier Bardem as Bane and Andy Serkis as The Penguin.

Serkis would make a really creepy and twisted Oswald Cobblepot. He could be a rich aristocrathic, who secretly runs a criminal empire and has obsession with birds. Rupert Thorne should work for him!:D

Depp is still kind of The Riddler for me!:)

Why is Nolan so insistent that Two Face is dead? There is plenty of wiggle room, the theatrical cut of Dark Knight does not show an obviously dead body.

Only Punisher villains get killed off. Directors should try to respect the characters and leave them open for other directors.

Y the hate? Nolan has done a fantastic job in my opinion. If there was a literal and exact comic translation on film the movie would suck. There, I said it, and I AM a comic book fan first. The truth is that they are two diff worlds. What works in one doesn't always work in the other. And I think Nolan has found an exceptionally acceptable balance.

@grifdeadpoolteabag (horrible name by the way)there is no problem with the way Nolan did those movies he didn;t kill the joker off he didn't kill scarecrow off just two face which isn't that big of a deal because there is pleanty more villins left to use. And as for his suit I don't see the problem with that either the suit works for film so quit bitching!

I do agree with the Depp for the Riddler but not so much on Jolie for Catwoman.
