Cillian Murphy Says He's Not In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (kind of)

Speculation has been rampant that Cillian Murphy will again reprise his role as Dr. Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow for the third time in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated Batman finale. But is he actually in it?

Nothing significant or definite here, but actor Cillian Murphy is still unwilling to confirm that he's in The Dark Knight Rises. In an interview with Empire Online while promoting his new film, "Red Lights", Cillian is asked by the interviewer to discuss The Dark Knight Rises and how he feels about this being his first time absent from Nolan's trilogy.

While Cillian obviously doesn't disagree with the interviewer by confirming he is in fact in the film, he plays around the question, and seems to almost agree with the interviewer that he's not in it.

So what do we think, will Scarecrow be back for The Dark Knight Rises, with speculation that he'll be back to act as a judge for Bane rife, it looks like we'll have to wait until July 20th for our answer.

The Dark Knight Rises starring, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Micheal Cane, Marion Cottilard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman, hits theatres everywhere July 20th.

He is rumored to be in the courtroom scene where they judge Gotham's richest by exile or death. It is rumored that also when it comes to Miranda Tate to be judged Bane intervenes and kills Scarecrow and Miranda is revealed to be Talia Al Ghul.

I don't care if it's a 2 second cameo like in TDK, if Scarecrow cameos, it would be awesome! I've always hated how villains appear in one film only to never be seen or heard from again. These comic book heroes have such great villains, and seeing them cameo or even hearing them talked about gives the universe more cohesiveness and makes it feel like a comic book.

@TonyChu: that would be pretty cool. it would explain why Bane was seen in the courtroom scene during one of trailers, to protect Talia.
