I guess this one slipped by us! But along with Marion Cotillard THR mentions some other ladies possibly in line for a role in The Dark Knight Rises. Two of them have popped up before in connection with the movie, but Miss Winslet has not..
Nolan had been focusing on finding the romantic lead for Christian Bale in recent weeks, reading and meeting with several actresses, including Kate Winslet, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts, according to insiders.
Both Watts and Weisz have been brought up as contenders for the role before but, along with Winslet, it appears they may still in the running, although apparently the role is Cotillard's if she wants it. But she is expected to give birth in May when the film goes into production. Still nothing solid on the character these actresses are up for. The popular theory is Talia Al Ghul, but looking at the other contenders and the fact that we already have one female villain in Anne Hathaway's Catw..uh, Selina Kyle, I reckon it's either Sarah Essen or Vicki Vale. Of course there are lots of other possibilities. The character may not have even appeared in the comics before. What do you think?
