RUMOR: Batman 3's Robin

RUMOR: Batman 3's Robin

A variation of Robin might be in Batman 3!

Filed Under: The Dark Knight Rises

Take this with a grain of salt, or even less, because I have. A friend of mine has told me that another one of his friends is supposedly auditioning for the role of Robin in Batman 3.

Here are the rumors about Robin:

1.) Batman 3 will take place 15 years after TDK.

2.) Dick Grayson will be wearing his costume as "Robin" while he performs as part of a circus group. This costume will be very close to the costume in the comics.

3.) Dick Grayson runs away from the circus after he is threatened by his boss and survives on the streets of Gotham by stealing. Bruce takes him in after seeing his potential, and seeing how much like Bruce, Dick is. This is where Robin receives his new costume, which is more akin to how Batman's costume is.

REMEMBER: Take this with a very BIG grain of salt! I highly doubt this is true, but you never know.

First of, I highly doubt this romour to be true. And 15 years waaaay too long!
It would be cool if Robin was included, but only very carefully, like a poster saying "The Incredible Graysons" or if Bruce goes to watch a circus performance at the end of the movie. But Dick Grayson would be too much to have as a character, I believe. It would take the focus too much away from Bats and his villains. But if someone could do it, it would be Nolan. Until they start shooting we will not know anything.
Its always interesting with rumors however!

yea i dont even know why i am commenting on this because im sure this is fake. @angeles i like that idea of Bruce going to a circus and it ending there haha.

Those story are jason todd and dick graysons story mixed together and Jonah nolan (Jonathan) loves the source material to much to do that.

Might I add he said robin would never be in the films and he has also said that if they were included it wouldnt be in him or his brothers versions

what kind of B.S. robin is not going to be in Batman 3 Nolan and Bale said from day one when their are involved Robin is no way going to appear.

@Hamm3rtym3

good idea that makes more sense if Nolan does that.

I want a Superhero epic with a good villain. I wouldn't mind at all if Nolan even killed Batman. Adding Dick would be a silly idea.

Absolutely bullcrap rumour. Not gonna happen.

Some fanboys want to see Robin so much that, even after Nolan and Bale said they won't add Robin to the ongoing series, they're somehow still making bold claims that he'll be in it. Newsflash, boys - Robin is not gonna be in Nolan's Batman, ever. Get over it.

Yeah ur right it is not true, In a past interview, Bale said if there were to be a Robin he would not do the movie.

i think they should include dick grayson in the film as the beacon of hope, after rachel died, and have him discover that bruce is batman at the end of the movie

I know Nolan has officially stated that there will be no Robin, but the person who told me this kept repeating it's going to happen. I think it's pretty fake too, but I just thought I'd still write it, because you'll never know with movies in Hollywood. Because things are constantly changing. I know from experience.

Tbh even if the did introduce the graysons at the end it would leave it open for a 4th film with Nolan does'nt want.
If i was Nolan i would et up a story line as good as that for someone else to destroy unless he was gunna produce a Robin/Teen Titans/Young Justice live action series, which would be awsome!!! But again i doubt he would venture into that himself.
Setting it 15yrs into the future would allow fantastic opening credits of Batman fight Killer Croc, Bane, Firefly, clay face and Calender man(what?)just to set the story for a last fight and the end of the film with the riddler and catwoman before he passes the mantle down or dies. And within 15yrs he might have found a cure for throat cancer but alfred would be dead i imagine lol.

@SuperKalBats
Actually Bale did say that if Robin ever shows up in the movies he'd chain himself up in his basement and refuse to come to work. Obviously he was joking since he's contractual obliged to, the fact still remains however that no one in Nolan's movies or DC entertainment have shown any interest in bringing Robin on to the big screen.

Dynamo - 8/28/2010, 5:27 PM
@SuperKalBats
Your the one that's full of it pal. Show me any evidence that Geoff Johns, Jim Lee or Diane Nelson have any interest in forcing Nolan to include Robin.

Your just making giant leaps of logic without any grounds whatsoever. Besides Jim Lee and Geoff Johns aren't in charge of DC films. Jim Lee is a Co-Publisher of DC Comics and Geoff Johns is Cheif Creative Officer, basically an adviser and has little power when it comes to the direction of the movies.

@SuperKalBats
Ok first of all, learn how to string a sentence together you dirtbag cuz right now it looks like you smacked your ballsack on the keyboard and pressed enter.

Second, it's pretty clear that you have no idea what you're talking about. Once again I state the Jim Lee HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DC MOVIES. He's the Co-Publisher of DC COMICS. Putting all that aside there is NO EVEIDENCE to suggest that they want Nolan to include Robin in the next movie.
Any tension THAT MAY exisist between Nolan and DC Entertainment is due to the notion of there being a shared DCU. Take this from a fan of Robin, introducing the character is probably last thing on their minds right now.

Oh and finally, learn some manners you troll, insulting people for stating their opinions. TANKGIRL actually said the truth, Bale didn't want robin in the movie and yet you attack her? Grow the [frick] up.
Dynamo
Dynamo - 8/28/2010, 6:50 PM
@SuperKal
Obviously you haven't read a thing I said dick cheese. Look it up. Jim Lee is CO-PUBLISHER FOR DC COMICS along with Dan Didio. Are you mentally retarded or something? You seem in capable of processing information.
The only person in charge of the movies is Geoff Johns, who is CHEIF CREATIVE OFFICER.

I guess someone didn't read thier "memo".
Dynamo

BTW Here's the "memo"
http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/02/18/for-immediate-release-dc-entertainment-names-executive-team/

Oh look what it says:
Jim Lee and Dan DiDio Named Co-Publishers DC Comics

Geoff Johns to Serve as Chief Creative Officer

John Rood Named EVP, Sales, Marketing and Business Development
Patrick Caldon Named EVP, Finance and Administration

I hope Robin does appear. Plus make him darker, have his costume look like Batman's(Tim Drake's new costume), and leave out the kid image.

@Dynamo I wouldn't bother trying to hold a conversation with Super-Douche up there. I've tried before and it's utterly pointless. He's got his head so far up his own ass it's ridiculous. Save your breath. It's even better when you comment on an article he's actually written. He deletes comments and is very unable to handle any sort of criticism.

Nolan said there's not going to be a Robin as long as he is involved. It might be neat to see Dick be inspired by Bats and become nightwing like the batmen in TDK but only a VERY small part.
