A while ago, I posted a story here on CBM (Three Inception Stars Are Competing For The Role Of The Riddler In Batman 3) containing some info I had been emailed which stated that following the success of Inception, Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros were keen on hiring either Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt or Tom Hardy as The Riddler in Batman 3. Well, it would appear that Hardy has indeed been cast in the upcoming third installment of Nolan's Batman franchise!
Here is an excerpt from the report over at
Deadline:
"I'm told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won't even say if he's up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption. Deadline are well known for being VERY reliable with these scoops and while this doesnt confirm that he'll play The Riddler, that might just be the lead role the site are talking about if that sources information was correct! However, with recent rumours pointing to Killer Croc being the main villain in
