Chris Nolan has left a series of hints to the next villain through his movies and conversations. The first big hint was in a conversation between Chris and Leonardo Di Caprio. They had gotten into a conversation about Batman, in which Chris talked about how much he loved the Hush storyline. He also mentioned Hush was one of his favorite villains. That must mean something!
The next was in a reference in "The Dark Knight." Bruce was talking to Lucius Fox about his suit. Bruce asks how it does against dogs, Lucius replies that it should do fine against cats. There we go, Catwoman! These hints scream the next villain.
Here is a fan list of potential villains:

So the question is, are they hints correct, or are they things not meant to be taken seriously?

Balegirlbrazil, face palm made me laugh aloud. Thank you. I think Killer Croc is a mistake as well. It takes him away from a near reality he has resided. Croc is a relatively newer character that only viewers of the animated series and current readers will be familiar. Not totally out of the question, though just doesn't fit.

And I'm sorry but killer croc won't be in the movie either he doesn't fit and as for the rest of your list black mask, riddler, or hush for the main villain and possibly fire fly as a minor villain. @blackmask I'd rather hear about Tom Hardy rumors than read this dribble I've wasted 3 minutes of my life that I will never get back because of you luring me in to a false sense of some real news. Your as worse than that kid who saw the question mark in some smoke in the blu-ray menu of TDK ...........wait they showed Bruce on a boat is that a reference to aqua man. @blackmask I don't care if they cast Hardy or not I'm just saying anything they say about that is better than your "article".
You should really think before you type because telling me that he's gonna play hush end of story so definitively then finishing up by saying we're not even sure if he really signed makes you look like a fool.
And you want to say that @3bigtacos is a fan boy who won't shut up at least he's a fan boy who is smart enough to not make stupid assumptions based of of a few quotes from real articles and 1 line from a movie.

First of its please get spell check and @threebigtacos while I didn't enjoy the article I have rather enjoyed the back and forth with @blackmask about how bad it is and I've also enjoyed his terrible attempts at come backs. So there is some enjoyment from this poorly thought out "fact filled article" even if its not the enjoyment @blackmask was going for.

@Blackmask: Listen I don't care who Hardy plays, he may not even be a villain but the thing is you jus can't name some villains and say they have a chance to be in the next Batman. include some facts so the article makes sense. I'm not saying your stupid, but this is just like the 100 other Batman Villain Speculation articles, only worse.

Catwoman isn't in the film. Neither is Hush.

you just have to think of it in terms of what wraps up the story Nolan has told best. and to do that i think you have to bring back villains or allude to them. you either bring back Two-Face, Ras, or Scarecrow, or bring in Talia or Robin (two-face connection) that would leave room to bring in the Riddler in some sort of supporting role, i would look to, but not entirely, Arkham Asylum the game.

i'm calling it- TWO FACE! two face is alive. he hasn't killed any of the others why would he pick out two face to kill off?
