Two Million "Like" Batman, but what about the other guys?

This Week DC announced that Batman's Facebook reached Two Million 'Likes' but how far behind are the other DC Heroes? Notably the Big Blue Guy.

DC announced this week that their "Batman Facebook page crossed the 2 million Likes mark. More than 2 million people have signaled that they are fans of the Caped Crusader"



- So I got to thinking about the other DC Heroes and found the following number of "Likes" for the other guys (and girl)

Official Facebook Fan Pages:

Batman 2,020,586

Superman 1,328,846

Green Lantern 231,891

Wonder Woman 82,164

The Flash 54,825

Aquaman 25,957

Plastic Man 860

- Not much love for the plastic fellow I guess. But what about Supes? Is there anyone else out there who's excited about Snyder's movie and the new threads in the comics?

batman is awesome if he has the right writer on the book i.e miller,moore,loeb & snyder.flash,captain marvel & the green lantern are my three favorite dc characters.

do you know if there is one for marvel characters? i bet spider-man & wolverine could give batman a run for his money.

Can't find an official one for just the Spidey character, but the 2002 film has 2,445,547 likes.

unfortunately, i am not hyped for the new superman flick.. i've been a fan of superman my whole life, but everything that i've seen so far about the new film has looked pretty lame. hopefully i'll feel differently after the trailer!

Yea dude. I'm waiting for the trailer to get hype because when I saw the pics of the costume.. phhhh.. Then his last movie Sucker Punch.. It's a coin flip at this point! Watchmen was cool though!

the only reason people are reponding to batman is because of the movies. if the other characters had movies that were awesome than they would have more likes. i think the fact that superman has a milion likes without any movies out in 40 years that were concidered good by critics

The reason people like Batman is because he's a plausible character with skills, not powers. A character like Superman has waaaay too many unbeatable powers that simply makes him boring to read since you know he never really is under any real threat. With Batman you know he's gonna have to put his life at risk, deal with the pain and overcome his adversities with his skills be it success or failure.

Superpeople are purely for geeks, the characters with skills will always have broader appeal with the general audience.

Hollywood has been pumping up Superman and Batman for decades I think that may be the biggest reason for this popularity contest. Who knew who Ironman and Ghostrider were ten years ago other then comic geeks and Wu tang clan....

Batman is, of course, more well known to the general public. 30 years ago, maybe Superman was, but now, because of Nolan's bat-films, Batman is more popular around non comic book people.
