Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fancast

I loved the original movie series. I felt that the feel was right for the movies combining the light feel of the cartoon, which was how everyone knew about the turtles, with a little bit of the dark feel of the comics, though the movies strayed more towards to the lighter side. In a new set of movies, I think they should do this in a similar way though I would like them to go a little bit darker but still with humor. My cast isn’t a teenaged acting cast. People may not like that but I think if you don’t see the actors you see the turtles you can imagine the turtles still being teenagers. Let’s start casting.

I think the movie should be directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-ass and x-men: first class). I think that the feel of Kick-ass with a hella lot less cursing could work really well for TMNT.

Lets start with the turtles.

1st lets cast the leader, Leonardo.
Leonardo

My choice for Leonardo is James Mcavoy (wanted and x-men: first class). I think mcavoy is one of the most underrated actors out there and I think him doing the voice over can go really well. I think that his voice in wanted could work as Leonardo’s voice. Another reason I have casted him is because he has worked with Vaughn in X-Men: First Class.

The next turtle is Raphael.
Raphael
Often misunderstood, or dismissed as the dark one, Raphael is known to go to the extremes with his emotions. He has a hard time handling his temper, pressured from the unfair facts of life. (comicvine.com)

My first choice for Raphael would be Vin Diesel (Saving Private Ryan, Babylon A.D., Boiler Room, and the Fast and the Furious series). Vin Diesel has that badarse feel to him that in my opinion fits Raphael perfectly.

My second choice for Raphael would be Ben Foster (The Messenger and Pandorum). I think Ben Foster is a great actor and I think his voice can work well for Raphael.

Next up is Donatello
Donatello
Donatello uses his brain as well as his brawn to win a fight. (comicvine.com)

My first choice for Donatello is Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick, Inception and (500) Days of Summer). JGL is an amazing actor and I think his voice can work extremely well as Donatello.

My second choice for Donatello would be Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds, Alvin and the chipmunks series, and (500) days of summer). Gubler is a very good actor and has the most intelligent voice I have heard in a long time and could work for Donatello.

The last turtle
Michelangelo
Mikey is the comedian of the brothers, always making a joke. He is the fastest fighter of the group with his two nunchuku. (comicvine.com)

My first choice for Michelangelo is Sean William Scott (American Pie series and Role Models). Sean William Scott is the perfect person in my opinion to play Michelangelo.

My second choice for Michelangelo is Justin Long (Accepted, Dodgeball, Alvin and the chipmunks series, and Waiting). Long can be an amazing Mikey in my opinion because he is hysterical.

Now that the turtles are done next is Splinter.
Splinter
A rat mutated by exposure to toxic ooze, Master Splinter raised the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and trained them in the art of ninjitsu. He is also the father of the turtles.

My choice for Splinter is Jackie Chan (Karate Kid and many other great movies too many to show). Jackie Chan has already replaced Mr. Miyagi and I feel that Splinter is basically Mr. Miyagi for the turtles and I think he can do the character great justice.

Next is April.
April O’Neil
The spunky red-head that is the turtles main ally and friend in the surface world. (comicvine.com)

My choice for April is Rachel Mcadams (Sherlock Holmes, Mean Girls, and Red Eye). Mcadams is a very good actress and she looks great with red hair.

Next is Casey Jones.

My 1st choice for Casey Jones is Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine). Kitsch is a great up-and-coming actor and has the right look for Casey but this casting is barring Kitsch being able to do a tough guy New Yorker accent.

My 2nd choice for Casey is Ashton Kutcher (That ‘70s show, the spread, and the butterfly effect). I think if given the opportunity, Kutcher could give a great performance if he strays away from being a comedic first casey.

Next is Shredder.
Shredder
Leader of the Foot clan ninjas and a major enemy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Many incarnations of this villain have surfaced, human, Utrom, Clone, and even a Shark mutant. (comicvine.com)

My choice for Shredder is Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins, Inception, and The Last Samurai). Watanabe is a great great actor and fits the role amazingly in my opinion.
