why sam worthington would be a pretty good captain america

Well I've always said I wouldn't mind Sam Worthington as Cap. A lot of people do jump the gun about him being not American (although it would be a MASSIVE plus it isn't essential) He's used to action and has shown he can act off of big named actors (christian bale, liam neeson) so he would have no problem acting along side rdj or sam jackson. He's not the greatest actor in the world but he's certainly decent and 100000 times better than Jensen Ackles who IMO is just a pretty boy actor.

The thing is about Ackles though is I like the guy but he doesn't have the chops to play Cap, and he doesn't even look that much like Cap. To the guys credit though he does look more like Cap than Worthington, but then what's looks if ya can't act right?

My personal choice for Cap is Aaron Eckhart. Who looks nearly identical to Steve Rogers, is a damn fine actor and has the right physique and height to play him. But the reason people go crazy when they hear that is silly...his age. I find it hilarious because age isn't nearly the most important thing when casting cap, I always thought it was about skill y'know but I guess I'm wrong...

Put it this way I'd rather have a great actor who looks a lot like Cap play him rather than some pretty boy actor who can't act and looks less like Rogers than Eckhart but he is the same age as in the comics. Age doesn't matter. Hel;l you can have a 60 year old play him and be able to make him look young so what's the problem with someone who's forty???

I cant really be bothered to go through why UnWorthington is a terrible choice but I will say that casting an Australian is a terrible idea, especially one who cant hold an American accent for more than a few minutes at a time. Secondly, casting a short arse like Worthington woul also be a mistake not to mention the fact he looks completely wrong for the part!

I'd much prefer to see Jensen Ackles, Ryan McPartlin, Chris Pine, Matt Damon, Patrick Wilson, Wentworth Miller or even Aaron Eckhart get the part before this guy.

Plus the Director has already even said that there only going to go with an American Actor.

Its really pathetic that you "cant wait to see what happens when none of your actors get picked" - who cares if none of my choices are cast? I have faith that Marvel will make a good decision as they seem to have done so far casting actors that many of us would never have thought of like Chris Hemsworth! If its someone I'd like to see get the role then great. If not - its hardly the end of the world!

At one point we were pretty much at each others throats every time we were on this site making it unpleasent for us and everyone else who happenned to be there at the same time. However, we resolved our differences a while ago and now we get on just as well, if not better, than when I first joined CBM.

My point is, we all love these characters and we all want to see these movies get made and we of course all have very different opinions.
