As much as I want this too be good.. I'm not sure if it will be.

The first one was great but it just went downhill from there.

@MrMurdockk i have a theory why this may actually be good like the first, its really the problem with all trilogies i found (matrix as an example) they see the success of the first film, decide to make two more (which is fine) but try to make an over arching story line which just dosnt work when its 2 out of 3. Curse of the black pearl and the matrix where amazing films, the sequels not so much (of course it is down to personal opinion) so i have hope in this because it is a stand alone film, as i think they work better, and it hasnt got bloomin orlando and keira kant act knightly!!!

What was so terrible about the 2nd and 3rd film of Pirates of the Caribbean? I enjoyed all of them. Plus I'll be the one to say it, this actually looks like it's going be a great movie to watch.

I agree with the 14th avenger. And roschach12311 Terminator?!?! I don't know how anyone could argue that there wasn't a massive drop of excellence and quality from the second to the third.

This looks like a rental at best. I think this is just going to become a stale franchise. The first one succeeded because it was refreshing and inventive. The next couple, while still watchable, just didn't stand out as especially solid films.

The footage looks alright, but I don't expect much from this one.

This movie will make more than all the other cbms coming out. Why? Johnny Depp. Everybody loves that guy and knows they will be entertained. If it doesn't make 300 million, I'd be suprised.

FYM!! ;-)

This looks pretty good to me. Better than the prior trailer made it look.

I enjoyed the first two, but the thrid was meh. They made the mistake of filming both sequels at once and neither script was completed when they started shooting. The first two were like action rides (which was appropriate) that kept on going.

I loved Davy Jones in Dead Man's Chest, but the love story and the sub plot with Will's father that creeped over to At World's End made the third movie too darn slow. Also, the villains in the third were the East India Trade Co and not some cool new creatures. Davy Jones was boring the in At World's End because he had is own love story sub plot and was second fiddle to the little jerk from the Trade Co. Another cool CGI baddie could have made AWE a little cooler.

Getting rid of Bloom and Knightley was a good start here. I like that there's a new villain (a well know pirate!) and there's zomibies and evil mermaids. Should be fun, like the ride!
