GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE Moves Into Summer 2021; DON'T BREATHE 2 Heads To August

With Universal's highly anticipated Jurassic World: Dominion vacating its prime summer release date, Sony Pictures has pushed back Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters: Afterlife a few months from March to June 11, 2021.

The film stars Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel), Carrie Coon (Avengers: Endgame), Finn Wolfhard (It Chapter Two), Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame), Logan Kim (Home Movie: The Princess Bride), Celeste O'Connor (Wetlands), Oliver Cooper (Mindhunter), and Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming). Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man) may also appear.

In addition to the new cast, the upcoming sequel to the first two films will also bring back the franchise's original stars: Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Raymond Stantz, Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore, Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett, and Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz.

Jason Reitman, who takes the directing reigns from his father, also penned the film's script.

On another note, Rodo Sayagues's Don't Breathe 2 will open on August 13, 2021; with Stephen Lang (Avatar) expected to return as The Blind Man, and both original director Fede Alvarez and Sam Raimi producing.

The basic synopsis reads, "In Don't Breathe 2, the Blind Man has been hiding out for years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a house fire. Their quiet existence is shattered when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her."

@Feralwookiee - haha, Fisher complaining time Affleck all day “uhhhh I’m a cheating divorced drunk known for a hateful hateful gif that I hate, sooo please by all means, cheer me up with your HORRIBLE JOSS BOSS stories”
“Thanks man I knew I could count on you, so anyway, Joss said ‘cut!’ And I’m like, that’s so hurtful, ya know?”
“(Sigh)Sure, sure, I hate when they say that too”

I wanna check out that new Ghostbusters movie so this move is for the best.

And the only way to make the blind man the hero in a sequel is if they were to introduce much more worse people than the thieves that he faced against, which is hard considering some of the stuff he wanted to do to one of them.
