It's fair to say Fantastic Four is no longer the most hated movie. It's Paul Feig's Ghostbusters. From saying it's a full on reboot not canon to the original films to casting Melissa McCarthy. It's not looking good and Paul Feig knows that! While promoting his new comedy Spy at SXSW, he's what he said about reaction from the pitch compared to the reaction online. “The Internet is really funny -- I love it, but I hate it at the same time. The first wave when you make an announcement like that is overwhelmingly positive. Everyone’s so happy and you’re like, ‘This is great.’ Then comes the second wave and you’re like, ‘Oh my God. Some of the most vile, misogynistic s*** I’ve ever seen in my life.’”

On how people are saying he's ruining their childhood he said, “The biggest thing I’ve heard for the last four months is, ‘Thanks for ruining my childhood. It’s going to be on my tombstone when I die. It’s so dramatic. Honestly, the only way I could ruin your childhood is if I got into a time machine and went back and made you an orphan. I figure it’s some wacked-out teenage. But almost constantly it’s someone [whose] bio says ‘Proud father of two!’ And has some high-end job. You’re raising children and yet you’re bashing me about putting women in my movie?”

As for the other, coughbetter, Ghostbusters project which will be written and directed by Captain America: The Winter Soldier brother duo the Russos, he said “Who knew there were so many ghosts to be busted in the world? All I know is my ladies are going to kick a$$ and I would not want to go into battle without them.” So what are your thoughts on the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot? Do you think it sucks like it seems or do you think it has a shot? Comment below. Peace and remember....

No Paul Feig, [frick] you.

I had no problem with an all female team set up in the Ghostbusters world. Hell with Ramis's death, what if you use that in the film and one would have been Igon's daughter taking on her father's work.

But no, you basically want to do a reboot in a world where the OG Ghostbusters didn't happen because who had no idea how to write a Ghostbusters sequel which you even said and not only that you cast Melissa McCarthy's unfunny fat ass and a bunch of other women who aren't funny and aren't all that marketable. Why not cast Emma Stone or Kristen Bell or hell women who are actually funny and talented.

This film isn't even Ghostbusters and the reason it is is because Hollywood isn't [frick]ing creative anymore so why not just shit on classic material.

Seriously, this film is [frick]ing worse then Fantastic Four and that's saying something.

Also there isn't a category for Ghostbusters so I put the article under Ghost Rider.

i watched Ghostbusters like 4 months ago. It's a good comedy, but as for me - slightly overrated. Ghostbusters 2 was ok. Murray was really good (still Scrooged was a better movie)

I really like the idea of female Ghostbusters. I hope Feig and the ladies can deliver. But where the hell is Rose Byrne ? She should be in this movie !

note: i didn't like the original Robocop as well. I don't get the satire so for me it's rather medicore move. Robocop 2 was better. Robocop 3 was the best. Most fun.
Robocop remake was kinda boring.

what i think ... most of the people like those movies because of the nostalgia. Go watch it now and see if you still like it. Is the Ghostbusters still best comedy ever ? Is it? Is it so good there is no point of doing the remake and tell a new story ?

To all of you complaining that Feig is ruining your childhood. (cups hands around mouth) GHOSTBUSTERS STILL EXISTS. It's not like he's going back and erasing the first Ghostbusters movie from the space-time continuum.

[frick] you Paul.
Stick your handwaving bullshit and stick it up your ass.
Using buzzwords like mysoginist and sexist so as to dismiss proper criticism.

It's not the actual idea of an all female Ghosbusters that pisses people off Feig.

It's the fact that the people you casted aren't funny at all.

Melissa McCarthy's key to fame is that she sat on a toilet in a plane and pissed herself, and then posted a facebook post saying she shat herself.

And you think she's perfect for Ghosbusters Feig?

[frick] you Paul Feig, y'know what? I'm gonna tweet yo' ass.

At least the Russo's Ghostbusters actually sounds good.

@Jollem

as long as studio will give Feig a chance to do a really good comedy i'm all in. I just don't wanna see a situation when studio interfere becasue they think they are smarter than director. Also: Sony. Focus on helping Feig doing one good Ghostbuster movie. Do not think about 4 movies. Focus on one.

he does have a point with the over the top your "ruining my childhood!"crowd. But that said.I'm not feeling this cast and attempt to make a shared universe.seriously not everything has to be a shared universe.

yeah. But you can either talk to director nicely, impact on him, or just being an ashole and make a set decoration lighter when he is not watching :)
