After how the 2016 Ghostbusters movie performed,  there hasnt been any new information about a sequel , but according to  the director of  Spy and Ghostbusters, Paul Feig , he would love making a sequel.

During CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Feig expressed that he's still hopefull about a the studio making a sequel for his all female team "We would love to make another movie; it’s really up to the studio, we had so much fun making that movie.

Despite Dan Akroyd's comments about the direction that Paul Feig took for the 2016 movie, and Ivan Reitman betting on an animated spin-off, Paul Feig wpold like making another movie for his fans  "The movie’s just really built an audience in the two years since it’s been out. I get contacted every day by people who are such fans of it, and so many women who are inspired by seeing women in science,"

"I will go to my grave so proud of that movie, and so proud of what that cast did in that film.” Feig said.

The studio considered the  movie's  $US300 millions  total box office as a break even, making a sequel very unlikely, despite the optimism of the Director.

@SadSuperman - As did I. I will never understand all the hate the movie gets, It's an entertaining and funny movie.

It's just all the butthurt fanboys that cry about it.

@SadSuperman - The movie was fine, but I still feel it would have made more sense for it to have been a sequel with an original Ghostbuster training this new team.

He should have made the sequel the first time. I was not a fan of the remake concept.

On the plus side for Justice League, it was better than Ghostbusters.

Glad he is ignoring the internet critics. It wasn't as bad as some people like to say.

A laugh free “comedy.”
So damn frustrating.
Most of the original cast was there but playing different roles.

Imagine if Force Awakens was done that way.
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, etc playing some random stormtrooper or bar keep.
Talk about taking a dump on fan’s heads.

Bahaha of course he would. It nearly killed his career so he's in "oh I'd direct anything for sure" mode.
