Finally, Jon Favreau clears up the timeline that "Iron Man 2" falls into. It's official: it takes place before "The Incredible Hulk," like we all speculated. Is one word really enough to make an article about? Yes, yes, it is!

I would say the majority of the movie will be set way in the past, we are talking about gods here. When Thor comes to present day, it will be after TIH

That doesn't make sense. At the end of Hulk, Stark confronts Ross about "putting together a team" suggesting he already talked to Fury about the Avenger Initiative from the end of Iron Man 1. Is Iron Man 2 timelined before Iron Man 1?

now i get it. so after Iron Man 2 he went to Gen Ross to talk about the Hulk. So it means to say that we gonna get Thor, maybe Hawkeye cameo at the end of Iron Man 2.

talke to Fury but turned them down
one man army like stated in the trailer
by the end he will join
cuz he needs help defeating the enemy(ies)
then he'll go talk to Ross
at some point maybe even
help scout Thor
then find Cap-sicle
then absolute awesome ensues

I can't get over how cool it is to see these crossovers/cameos realized. Hopefully, someday - Marvel will ultimately regain the rights to all of its properties, we could see this happen on a greater scale. Good find :)

in the iron man 2 comic con footage, stark tells fury that he doesn't want to join his boy band. which means that in iron man 2 he still hasn't joined fury. he probably will by the end though

Woah Superhero9, you mean you figured it all out from Stark asking Ross at the end of Hulk about The Avengers programme when nothing was mentioned in Iron Man, to seeing Stark at in the footage of Iron Man 2 telling Fury he wants nothing to do with his "super hero boy band". Thats some good detective work right there! ;)

It would be nice if they included Hank & Jan Pym
at the end of the Cap movie to set them up for
THE AVENGERS!

They would be working for S.H.I.E.L.D. as
subcontractor scientists in SHIELDS employ thawing
Steve Rogers out with machines, designed by them,
for SHIELD. That could segue them right into
THE AVENGERS!

But no Warmachine or Black Widow in the first
AVENGERS movie! Just Thor, IM, Cap, Giant-man &
Wasp for the first AVENGERS movie! Like it was
in the comic. LIKE IT RIGHTLY SHOULD BE!!!

of course war machine is gonna be in the avengers movie but i would imagine only in a supporting role as part of starks individual time in said movie.
i cant wait till i get all of these movies and sit and watch them all in the correct order, sweeeeeeet!
