First reported after the infamous Sony Pictures hack that took place a little under two years ago, it looks like Sony Pictures are finally moving towards an official green-light on a crossover between the 21 Jump Street franchise and Men In Black. As reported:
The film will see Jump Street stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill reprise their roles as undercover detectives Schmidt and Jenko, but they won't be joined by Men in Blackactors Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones. Sony is reportedly looking to recast Smith and Jones' iconic agent roles with younger actors.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are not expected to return due to their commitment to the Han Solo spin off. Director James Bobin (Muppets Most Wanted) is in early talks to helm this crossover from the two with production looking to start in July.
