In 1979, audiences were graced (and terrified) by the release of Alien, directed by Ridley Scott. The film was a commercial and cult success, sparking off an iconic franchise that would later collide with another iconic franchise (Predator). Even now, almost 40 years later, Alien still holds up today. Granted there are a few technological issues that one could chuckle at due to the era that the movie was made in, but the thrills are still there. Full review below:
