What is a Space Jockey? Well we don't know what a Space Jockey is. Well, not really. What we know is this, in the original
Alien film Tom Skerritt and the part of the crew board an Alien spaceship that has gone through some trauma. They find the fossilized remains of a gigantic and mysterious creature, which fans later nicknamed the Space Jockey. One of the key features is that this Space Jockey is found sitting in an enormous chair and it's chest has been ruptured. We can assume based on watching the Aliens lay eggs in their hosts and bursting from the chests, that this is the fate of that mysterious Space Jockey. And below are images that look very familiar to that scene.
