All You Need Is Kill is an upcoming science-fiction film starring Tom cruise, based on a Japanese graphic novel. The story involves a soldier reliving his last day as he battles aliens. He dies and then comes back to life over and over again. He must use the knowledge from his past failures to defeat the aliens. The plot has been called a sci-fi version of Bill Murray's Groundhog Day.

Next up? Training and Tom Cruise as she prepares for her role in All You Need is Kill, which she says will begin production in the fall after she undergoes intensive training to, “Get all grrrr,” she growls, doing her best Hulk impression. “I’m actually quite nervous about the training. I’m supposed to be playing one of the best soldiers in the world. Ha. Ha. I think my life is going to miserable for about 10 weeks. But I’m very excited.”

Premise sounds pretty good. I'm definitely seeing it with Blunt in it, she's one of my favorite actresses.

The All You Need is Kill screenplay was magnificent. It read like the Christopher Nolan film that Christopher Nolan never made. I'm on the fence about Emily Blunt's casting, though...

She would have been a better Balck Widow than ScarJo.

Man, even in the random pictures used in this article, Blunt looks a million times more like Black Widow than Scarlett ever will.

Yeah but think guys....all of you are rooting for the ONE who turned the role of Black Widow down. Yet not giving credit to the ONE who took on the role.

Emily didn't choose to drop out of Iron Man 2. She was contractually obligated to star in another studio's film (Gulliver's Travels) and there was no way for her to get out of that contract.

@elessarundomiel2382

Emily Blunt did not turn down the role. she could not do the movie cause she was already sign on to do Gulliver's Travels so it was scheduling conflict issue.

I think she'd be a great Sharon Carter in Captain America 2, she's a fantastic actress, and looks similar enough to Hayley Atwell that she could be believed as Peggy's niece/granddaughter/whatever they decide to write her as.

Lol, I think she'll do great. I've warmed up to Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow(heard great things about her performance in The Avengers, not surprised), but Emily Blunt was my top choice among the other actresses in the running.

BTW, has anyone seen The Five-Year Engagement movie? I figured you couldn't miss with her and Jason Segel.

@headlopper I'm with you, bud. I thought MI: Ghost Protocol was great, but the whole Scientology*cough*Cult!*cough* thing is no bueno. I barely watch any new movies with him in it.

@ELgUaSoN Well, then that means she would have been in The Avengers. You're right though, she did kind of dodge a bullet there. The movie itself wasn't that bad, but Black Widow was written poorly in IM2.

Man, I really miss the edit button. :)

@ELgUaSoN I think if she was really dedicated to the role. She could pull it off.

I know it's hard to picture Emily Blunt as, well, pretty much a government assassin, but she is very talented.

@bagadoosh Nice, dude. Showing Scarlett Johansson some love. I got your back, playa:

@mgeoff88, I think if you are working with Tom Cruise, you're likely to do better in terms of your performance in that role. She knows she is working with someone extremely dedicated. She'll be ok and I'm looking forward to this movie as well as his other upcoming releases.

headlooper is a psychotic troll. A serial psychotic troll apparently (not a good thing in case you(headlooper) can't figure it out).

You ARE Tom Cruise...I know IT!

Idiot.

@Kiah87 I think it's very normal for an actor or actress to be nervous about playing a character that is much different from the characters they usually play.

Playing a soldier in this movie is outside of Emily Blunt's comfort level, so to speak. I think she'll do great though. She is a very talented actress, which is why I think she'll be great in this role and would have also been great as Black Widow, if she was cast.

Also, headlopper isn't a troll, or any of the other things you mentioned. He obviously doesn't care for Tom Cruise is all. Everyone has a right to their own opnion. :)
