Thanks to an updated 2021 press preview kit, the full cast list for Warner Bros.' hotly-awaited Untitled Matrix FIlm (a.k.a. The Matrix 4) has been revealed, and it appears as though the film has quietly added Primetime Emmy-nominee Christina Ricci (Sleepy HollowTeen Titans: The Judas Contract) in a top-secret role.

She joins a cast headlined by returning franchise stars Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity with an all-new supporting cast consisting of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, and Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe.

While not listed on the main cast list, Daniel Bernhardt and Lambert Wilson are also expected to reprise their roles as Agent Johnson and The Merovingian, respectively, from previous installments in the action-packed sci-fi franchise.

Lana Wachowski directed the long-awaited sequel, with a screenplay she co-wrote with David Mitchell & Aleksander Hemon. She's also a producer on the project with Grant Hill and James McTeigue.

The long-awaited and as-yet-untitled fourth film in the “Matrix” universe, the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. It reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as Neo and Trinity, the iconic roles they made famous in “The Matrix.”

@BlackBeltJones - I really hope they don’t kill him offscreen.

@BlackBeltJones - When this was first rumored, the plot is that a young Morpheus, possibly the original Morpheus trapped in a reset Matrix and believing he's young, would be played by Michael B. Jordan and be the new protagonist, being trained by Neo like he trained Neo. While Jordan was not cast in the end, I think it's still possible this is the plot and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will be the "new" Morpheus.

@DalekCraigWasson - Yeah but it's not Morpheus that I necessarily want. It's Laurence Fishburne.

@BornToLose - Morpheus is killed in The Matrix Online. A MMORPG that takes place after the events of Revolutions.

The more Christina Ricci the better, hopefully she ends up playing Morticia Addams in the Wednesday show as well.

Thats a pretty impressive cast. Not sure if its for the right movie though. Really hope I'm wrong and this isn't a sequel for sequels sake

My roommate was an extra for like a week on this film back in 2019 and he told me what they were filming. Sounded like this film is going to be massive.

Nice cast. Hopefully this movie works. Haven't seen the sequels in at least a decade. May have to rewatch in preparation...

I still can’t believe the lack of promotion this film has. I would be expecting this to be having a big push by now. Perhaps the release date will be pushed back to 2022?

@darthgeekboy - Definitely Neo and Trinity's daughter, because I was thinking the same exact thing and had to see if someone thought the same thing as me.

@darthgeekboy - she's 41. He's 56. They are closer to being love interests then Father and Daughter.

Unless Trinity went back in time and hooked up with 15 year old Neo.

Cautiously optimistic for this one. Keanu stay winning, and Moss to me looks better now that 20 years ago. I actually look forward to hearing from the writer director this time as opposed to silver.

Definitely a cinema ticket getting purchased.
