The new Star Trek television series is set to premiere on CBS in January of 2017. The series will be produced by Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller, and it will be written by Nicholas Meyer. Aside from that information you just read, nothing else is known about the upcoming TV show. CBS has just released a poster for the series that promises great adventure in "The Next Chapter". This is starting too look promising. An alien captian would be dope id love too see either Tony Todd or Jeffery Combs in the Captains chair. Its going tok be new characters so if its Todd make him a Sisko and if you use Combs make him a descendant of Shran, Brunt or Wayoun. Hope we see some new tech and some bad ass dog fights.l maybe more realistic hand too hand combat.

I guess I'm the only Trekker that will boycott this. I'm pissed because this is CBS trying to build a profit for their profit lossing pay-to-view service.

Star Trek belongs on TV. Less temptation to make it a dumb action. Even the TNG movies fell prey to that.
