Even with the tragic death of Anton Yelchin, it seems that STAR TREK: BEYOND is going strong and beaming into theaters soon, with a movie marathon of the new Kelvin timeline films and with the film having it's world premiere in this year's Comic Con. With Paramount already planning Star Trek 4, how will Beyond perform? According to early trackings by Deadline the film is gonna have an opening of 50-60 million. That's great-ish? It's good, but far from great.

But considering many films like Ant-Man (57 Million) made about 500 million at the end of their run, i am sure Beyond will end up doing just fine, considering it's got quite the marketing and with Rihanna doing a song for the soundtrack, i am sure some of that publicity will help the film. Now, what ends up happening remains to be seen.

Star Trek Beyond hits theaters, July 22

I really hope so! This is one of those rare times where the reboot has been surprisinlgy good, and capable of standing next to classics as 'Wrath' and 'Voyage'.

I do hope it does well. I liked the first two a lot. I know the second one has it's controversies, but I for one really enjoyed it.

Still iffy about the film. wish they would just stop after the 3rd film and give us a new crew. Why have they never created a Trek film with a whole new crew ? No reboot of the cassic characters. Just...a new setting, new ship, and send us a thousand years into Trek's future.
