The Mysterious Jaylah Gets Another Cool Character Poster For STAR TREK BEYOND; Plus Rihanna Featurette

Considering how hard Paramount Pictures is pushing her in their marketing campaign, there's certainly something more than meets the eye with Sofia Boutella's mysterious Jaylah, but what that is exactly won't be revealed for at least another month or so. In the meantime, they've released another sleek character poster showcasing her commandeering Captain Kirk's seat and asking the simple question of "Friend or foe?" Everything we've seen of her so far would seem to suggest that she's a friend to the USS Enterprise crew, but looks can be deceiving, so could she actually be playing Captain Kirk and company for her own ulterior motive? Scroll down a bit further to check out the poster.

On another note, following the debut of her latest track "Sledgehammer" in Monday's final trailer for Star Trek Beyond, Paramount has released a great new featurette of Rihanna expressing her love for the franchise. Check it out below and be on the lookout tomorrow for the song's official music video:

Check out the latest poster below:

After stopping off at Starbase Earhart, a remote outpost on the fringes of Federation space, the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of unknown aliens. With the crew stranded on a unknown planet and with no apparent means of rescue, they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy who has a well-earned hatred of the Federation and what it stands for.

Star Trek Beyond will feature:
Director: Justin Lin
Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk
Zachary Quinto as Commander Spock
Zoe Saldana as LT Nyota Uhura
Karl Urban as LCDR Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy
Simon Pegg as LCDR Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Idris Elba as Krall
Sofia Boutella as Jaylah
Joe Taslim in an undisclosed role
Lydia Wilson in an undisclosed role
Harpreet Sandhu in an undisclosed role

Star Trek Beyond boldly goes where no man has gone before July 22

Loved the first 2, I don't like the look of this one, it seems like they tried to make a Guardians style movie... But idk that's ust based on the trailer

Is this race of alien Sofia and Idris is playing a new race or is it in Star Trek canon? I'm not familiar with it so just curious.

It'd be a cool twist if she was the main villain and Idris Elba was a puppet

Beautiful Algeria princess. She would make a good Talia al Ghul.
