I'm a huge fan of the first two but I'm not surprised by this.
Alan Taylor is terrible.

We're in trouble

Oh shit.....expected, but disappointed. Can't we just get a movie that TOUCHES on the level of T1 and T2?

I wanted a T5 with CGI young Arnold in an 80s period piece

If John is a Terminator, depending on how it's done, I don't mind. But it leaves a bunch of questions.

Alan taylor can't be blamed for this because this is a studio film, not an auteur project. Alan Taylor is a [frick]ing excellent director.

That's the cool thing about the Terminator franchise. It's one big time loop. "Whoops, John Connor got AIDS and died of illness before the resistance could overpower Skynet. Let's send Reese back in time." You can do whatever you want and just... Well, redo it. Wish this film would be a sequel to Salvation but whatever.

@MrMartinMarvel,

Maybe Arnie is the real Mandarin?

IDK. He's done some good work on tv but the only film I've seen from him was Thor 2.

Can't wait until James Cameron gets the rights back. He said this film will be fun. He read the script. Should've left it alone after T2

Is Jeff Sneider still mad at Jon Campea? Why did he get so defensive over TheWrap? I mean, all he said was it's become a less-than-credible source in recent months, but this Sneider guy used to write for the always-credible Variety and they fired him. The one site that took him under their wing, and now he treats TheWrap like his prison bitch "you mess with Wrap, you mess with me. and I'm the wrong guy to mess with." Ridiculous.

Wow, he makes it sound like it's going to really suck. I'll be honest, I liked the last two Terminator movies, they didn't rub me wrong. They weren't terrible, in my opinion, but this does sound bad. Oh well, all we can do is wait.

This just sounds like fanboy whining. Luke is apparently a robot in SW7, now John is a robot i T5. I don't care. Good or bad it won't ruin the previous films imo. Im open to something risky and new.

I'm confused...

So the cops knew that Internal Affairs were setting them up?

TheGambitFreak - 10/24/2014, 1:50 PM
@TheFamousJMC Right on! Go watch Kevin Smith's Clerks, then watch Cop Out. Completely different directorial tones, all because it was a big budget film.

Im tired of seeing the same terminator plot over and over again. One of the reasons I like salvation was because it did something new. and if this does something new, good or bad, it deserves credit for trying to be original
Dingbat
Dingbat - 10/24/2014, 1:54 PM
Terminator and Judgement Day were both excellent films. T3 was okay and Salvation was kinda okay if that makes sense. I was hoping this one would bring us back to the old days but I now have little faith. I still won't judge it until I see it but damn is it hard not to.

I agree with Batmantis. That "hint" sounds like it's fake. Terminator Salvation almost had it end on a similar note but they changed it for obvious reasons. Besides, we've SEEN John as a kid AND as an adult! Machines can't age. Hell, Arnie's aged skin for the T-800 will be explained in the movie for special reasons! This sounds like bullshit some moron make up and lied to the dudes on the podcast by passing it off as a plot rumor.

Sounds like they are just gonna make it come back around full circle and at the end of the movie JC will send back Reese and Arnie to save his younger self. With the story stopping there. Boom, thats my guess.
