Most fans actually never expected we'd get a sequel to Sin City, as so much time passed with director Robert Rodriguez seeming to just be placating interviewers by telling them "it's coming" over and over. But as we now know, he was true to his word. While speaking to Collider, Jessica Alba - who provided us with the most lingering visual from the first film as dancer Nancy Callaghan - reveals that she was just as frustrated with the process. "..Every six months to a year it was like “We’re going to do it, when’s the next one coming? Oh yeah, we’re going to do it. We’re going to do it. We’re going to do it.” And then at a certain point it was just like OK, I just didn’t believe it." Alba also reveals that he arc in the sequel will not be based on anything already written by Frank Miller, since Nancy doesn't feature in the A Dame To Kill For graphic novel. "Well this is- mine is an original story so there wasn’t a lot to base it off of, but Frank [Miller] has been drawing. So it’s just crazy." She continues, "It was neat to see their process, Robert and Frank’s, and their collaboration and what they inspire from each other and get out of each other and what they’re creating. It’s really like the 2.0 version of Sin City and it’s pretty amazing." Be sure to click on the link below for the full interview.

I liked her better when she wasn't soooo slim, like Dark Angel. Also, any respect I was cultivating for her was completely done away with when she made all her comments about screenwriters (since I am one).

This is gonna be the first original Sin City thing since Hell and Back, around the turn of the millenium. Not counting that last scene in the first one, or the tiny changes that were made, here and there.
That is quite exciting, really.

I agree with y'all that she wasn't a great Susie Storm but I did watch those movies and wait for her scenes with a certain enthusiasm.
