First SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Clip Further Explores The Multiverse; Establishes MCU As "Earth 616"

Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhaal was a guest on the Ellen Show today, and he brought the first clip from the Spidey sequel with him.

These sneak peeks are usually not very revealing, but this one is certain to get fans talking as it further explores the Multiverse that was first mentioned in the most recent trailer, while also confirming that the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe unfold in in Earth Dimension 616!

Quentin Beck explains this to Peter in the clip below, and also mentions that he's from Earth 833 - the reality of Billy Braddock, aka Spider-UK.

If this Multiverse stuff is on the level then it could obviously have major implications for the MCU moving forward. However, there is every chance that Mysterio is spinning Parker, Fury and co. a pack of lies here.

Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 2.

@HumanSpyder - i think he said 823

not on Marvel list. but this could be the Earth in which something from this list happened.

also ... Ultimate Marvel version of Mysterio

"It was revealed in Spider-Men that this reality's Mysterio is a simple android, remotely controlled in real time by an 'avatar' program that was created and sent forth by the Earth-616 Mysterio in order to conquer the Earth of the Ultimate Marvel universe"

If Gyllenhaal will end up being android the internet will explode.

@HumanSpyder - I'm hearing Earth 833...Home of Spider-Man UK. Per Key Collector Comics.

@jerryblake -

Wow that sounds really stupid.

Slowly introducing the multiverse idea is one thing, but adding in multiverse android clones is just a lot of nonsense to force on the audience right away.

@Lostcause - could be. Braddock was mentioned in Endgame.

@jerryblake - I have to go with Key Collector Comics on this one. I've made $8.5k from the info they put out to subscribers...in the last 90-120 days on 592 books. I made a grip on the Endgame Spec and Keys.

@jerryblake - could be fun to see Spidey convince the android to fight the real Mysterio.

@Humperdink - Actually the Ancient One in Doctor Strage mentioned the multiverse first.

@Lostcause - I listened a second time and he definitely said "Earth 8-2-3."

@SonOfAGif - It was written on the chalkboard in Thor 2. When the professor was in the psych ward.

Hmmm, is he Bs'ing ?? I doubt it
I think this is how we get the Xmen or even opens the door to the F4 getting their powers.

@CBMFilmJunkie - It does seem the easiest way to introduce

- Xmen
- Doctor Doom and Fantastic Four
- Ryan Reynolds Deadpool
- Tom Hardy’s Venom

@Forthas @DoubleD Yeah that’s what people use to say about a talking raccoon and a walking talking tree. Also how a character as ridiculous as ant man would be a complete failure. Even before all of this the idea of an avengers film ever even working was laughable. 11 years in and we still doubting marvels ambition aye? Lol

@XelCorp - Star Wars movies made Guardians of the Galaxy possible. Multiverse with 10 different Spidermans will lose them. I never liked them myself.

@DoubleD
@LordCipher

I say this because comic book readers have found the Marvel Multiverse confusing that is why it was eliminated after Secret Wars. Now you are asking individuals who are not as invested and who are now confused about how going back in time in Endgame is confusing to accept more of it.

I admit I was wrong about the talking raccoon and tree being accepted, but this is more of a departure and is inherently complicated.

XelCorp - 5/7/2019, 2:55 PM
@DoubleD - nobody said they were doing 10 different spidermen. If they do then they might as well do movies taking place in alternate universes to bring back Stark and Rogers as a soft reboot which they won’t do. Maybe down the road when they do secret wars they bring Cap and Stark back from alternate realities for a one final showdown that contains every marvel character ever to stand side by side on screen. Would be the marvel movie to end all marvel movies.

@Forthas - What about Into the Spider Verse? That seemed to work well for audiences.
Forthas
Forthas - 5/7/2019, 3:31 PM
@JourneyIntoMystery - That is one character unconnected to other superheroes. I am talking multiple interconnected superheroes and stories. I don't understand how Loki absconding with the tesseract effect other things or did they go further back in time to get the tesseract and Loki escaping did not happen, or did Captain America return the tessaeract way before Loki stole it and then later on he did end up stealing it...see my point!
