SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Officially Recruits Samuel L. Jackson And Cobie Smulders

We sorta already knew that Nick Fury & his right-hand woman would be showing up in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it's now been officially confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are on board.

There have been rumors that Samuel L. Jackson would be reprising the role of Nick Fury in Spider-Man: Far From Home for a while now, and the actor was recently spotted near the set of the sequel. Then, just last week, cast member Numan Acar seemingly confirmed that Cobie Smulders would be joining him as Maria Hill.

Well, Vulture has now made it official: both Jackson and Smulders will return as the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in Spidey's next solo adventure.

Last time we saw Fury and Hill they had ceased to exist thanks to Thanos' actions at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, so, spoiler alert, this obviously confirms that they will somehow return along with the rest of the heroes that vanished after "the snap."

The pair join Tom Holland as Peter Parker, along with returning cast members Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon. Jake Gyllenhaal will play the villainous Mysterio in the film, which is currently shooting in Europe.

@HeavyMetal4Life - but wait just one minute weren't all of the deaths in Avengers Infinity War permanent? (Said extremely sarcastic with high inflection)

@RocknRolla - Lol there's always a part of me that is dreadfully concerned that Far From Home takes place before Peter's trip

@RocknRolla - I guess no one is dying in Avengers 4 then. Fans are going to be pissed. Only person I can think of dying is Drax because Bautista is tryna leave.

@mastakilla39 - There is a possibility that the Big Three die in their efforts to undo the snap.

@Deonox - SAME. I was just thinking the part in IW when iron man asks him where he came from and he said on a field trip.. like what if he was on the bus coming back from the field trip he takes in FFH.. D:

@JustAChillDude - Try to remember ONE character in MCU that died. Keep rubbing this while at it and wash your mouth before opening it again so you don't spew shit out

Let's go. I want some classic Nick Fury-Spider-Man interactions. I want Spidey to grow out of the mentor-mentee role and tell Nick to piss off while Fury tries to give him actually important advice.
