Speculation continues to mount that the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home might be just around the corner, and we're now hearing that it might debut in theaters ahead of Marvel's Black Widow.

That Hashtag Show's sources believe it's a pretty safe bet, but the site cautions that nothing has been confirmed, and, to be honest, they haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders on the scoop front of late. Still, screening such a highly-anticipated trailer in front of Black Widow would certainly be a wise strategy, and is sure to entice more people back to theaters for that big-screen experience.

Even if this does turn out to be accurate, we still have no word on when the trailer will be released online - but unless Sony Pictures wants audiences' first look at the movie to be a lousy quality phone recording, they'd be smart not to wait too long.

Black Widow hits theaters on July 9th, so we should find out one way or the other soon enough.

While specific plot details are still under wraps, we do know that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Spider-Man 2 actor Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and TASM 2's Jamie Foxx as Electro, along with returning cast members Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei. A recent rumor indicated that Rhino and The Lizard will join Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin to make up the Sinister Six.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (among others) are expected to return as their respective takes on Spidey, but that's yet to be made official.

Makes sense, but I'll just wait and see. These rumoured trailer debut dates are getting out of hand.

@bkmeijer - Yeah, these last weeks were full of "imminent release dates" for both the No Way Home trailer and the Switch Pro reveal.

At the end, neither of them is here, and it's increasingly likely that there was never any Switch Pro to begin with. At least, No Way Home is real so we just have to wait.

@Amuro - there is the weird Switch controller now, so maybe thats it.

As for No Way Home, I'm losing count which there are more of: cameos, or trailer debuts

I wouldn't think so seeing how Loki doesn't have it's last episode until after Black Widow comes out. I am sure they want Loki to wrap up as it most likely continues to have ties to Multiverse etc. My guess is Black Widow comes out, Loki finishes and then the trailer. Perhaps they will even send studios an alternate Black Widow cut with the Spider-Man trailer to try and get people to not only go back to watch Black Widow a 2nd time but get new people to go as well. Just a thought.

The fact the Sony is holding out this trailer for so long, makes me believe Tobey and Andrew will be in the trailer. So they wanna hold out as long as possible before they reveal all their cards

@KWilly - Sony didn’t even show Venom in the teaser trailer for Venom.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings....

Eternals....

Spider-Man: No Way Home....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse....

(And maybe Thor: Love and Thunder....)

I'm not sure how likely this is, but I would love to see it happen.

@Waddles - It would be amazing if they had them all at once, but staggered is probably the better business decision.

Always figured it would drop with Black Widow. It’ll prob leak online right before it comes out. Where is the Jurassic Park trailer???? No leak? Did anyone see it in front of FF?

If it was 100% Marvel doing marketing and such, i'd 1000% believe it but alas, it's not.

So who knows at this point lmao.

I dunno, I feel like at this point they may wait a week or two after it's out. The fact they've been slow to show ANYTHING on this movie makes me feel that if they start promoting when Widow comes out it will kind of over shadow it.

I could be wrong though, as more eyes will be on marvel and the audience will look for their next fix.

Then again it's Sony who in charge of the promotion, so they'll likely try to steal some of that shine.

Don't expect a decent trailer until Shang-Chi movie is released. This is more like a teaser, the good stuff will be attached to later Marvel movies like SC or Eternals.

Will probably be a short, vague trailer

Given that the movie releases in less than 6 months a trailer or at least a teaser before Black Widow makes sense. I’m guessing that there must be some level of truth to the rumours around this movie as Marvel tend to at least release teasers for their movies earlier than 6 months before release. They’re probably holding back as much potential spoiler footage as they can.

It's very easy to know when the first trailer of a movie is coming (at least for Disney/Marvel). The first trailer it's almost always released 6 months (a couple of exceptions on 5 months (close to 6 months) before the movie's release date.

Black Panther trailer - June 2017
Release date - February 2018 (Delayed from November 2017)

Ant-man and the Wasp trailer - January 2018
Please date - July 2018

Captain Marvel trailer - September 2018
Release date - March 2019

Spider-Man Far From Home trailer - January 2019
Relese date - July 2019

Black Widow trailer - December 2019
Original release date - May 2020

Eternals trailer - May 2021
Release date - November 2021

You get the point.

This means that Spider-Man No Way Home trailer should come out next month. At the very latest at the very beginning of August.

It's possible. Or we'll get a trailer after Loki finishes.

Saying you've heard the trailer for the next big MCU film with Debut before the premiere of the next upcoming MCU release is like saying you're gonna get wet when it rains. This is so beyond [frick]ing stupid.
