Michael Rosenbaum just tweeted out an autographed picture he got from Stan Lee in which Stan calls him the best Lex Luthor.

Michael tweeted this to Man of Steel director Zach Snyder (and Perez Hilton) with the comment of "Obviously the master knows stuff others don't. Right"

People said the same thing about Tom Welling "he should be Superman in Man of Steel. he should be Superman". and Henry Cavill was cast and was better than him in every way.

I do like Michael Rosenbaum and think he could be a great Lex but he's too associated with Smallville.

I just thought it was funny that he had an autograph from Stan Lee and that he tweeted it at Zach Snyder

@banner, yeah the title is misleading. It's impossible for Stan to endorse an actor to a director for Warner/DC movies. It's like Ronald McDonald endorsing the Wendy's Baconator to the McDonalds costumers.

Rosenbaum's Luthor is the best live action version of the character thus far. Granted, he doesn't have much in the way of competition in that category. But no to him being Lex again.

Oh yes, let's take the guy who did everything he could to get out of the role, only to take a quarter of the Finale budget to make a small pointless guest appearance and hire him for the same role in a much better interpretation so he can screw them over too......GENIUS!!!

Smallville had it's moments and Rosenbaum was pretty good as Luthor for the series, but I don't think he should be the Luthor of the Man of Steel Universe. That being said, I'm a little surprised Stan Lee watched Smallville.

Easily the best Lex ever (Smallville also had the best Lois by far) but there's no chance in hell he's getting this role.

It's pretty ironic he was holding out on the Smallville finale for so long and now he's begging for this role on twitter.

Him tweeting Perez Hilton is hysterically sad.

He can play a convincing Lex Luthor, whether acting wise or age wise he seems a good fit!

Uh I don't think stan was exactly endorsing rosenbaum here. Its an autograph for crying out loud. No one ever puts an insult on an autograph its always something nice. The man isn't gonna write "hey Michael, your Lex luthor was a piece of crap." So in short I call shennanigans
