THOR: RAGNAROK
                    FADE IN
 
Ext.  The sky above Los Angeles,
Thor flies through the air on his way to Avengers tower. Suddenly Thor is stunned by a massive bolt of orange lightning that strikes the ground a few blocks away.
THOR
(Shocked expression)
By Odin’s beard! What sorcery is this?
 
Thor flies over to investigate. The buildings around where the lightning bolt hit are on fire. A figure steps out of the massive crater created by the lightning bolt.
BOR
I LIFA ENDR!
 
Thor flies down slowly towards the figure who just stepped from the crater.
THOR
(Friendly gesture, extends hand)
Ho! I perceive thou art not of this Earth, but of Asgard.  Dost thou come in peace?
 
BOR
(Crazed, foaming at the mouth)
DEYJA FJANDI!
 
THOR
I do not wish to fight thee, but if you shall not come peaceful…
Thor is blasted across the street by lightning bolts coming from Bor’s eyes.
 
BOR
(Throws head back, eyes rolling back into his head)
AAAAARGH!
 
THOR
You are powerful, but I am MIGHTY!
 
Thor and Bor charge at each other. Thor smashes downwards with Mjolnir but is blocked by Bor’s axes. Bor knocks Mjolnir away and head-butts Thor into a car.
 
BOR
AAARGH! DEYJA FJANDI!
 
Bor turns and sees civilians watching the battle. He prepares to disintegrate the mortals with his eye beams but is knocked down by Mjolnir returning to Thor.
 
THOR
Fiend! Midgard is under my protection. Have at thee!
 
Thor throws Mjolnir again but it is grabbed by Bor.
 
BOR
(Points at Thor, hand glowing with orange energy)
Uverougr!
 
THOR
This madness ends now!
 
Thor punches Bor through an oil truck causing a massive explosion
 
THOR
To me Mjolnir! (Puzzled look) To me! (Look of horror)
 
Thor runs over to Mjolnir and tries to pick it up, but it won’t budge.
 
THOR
By all that is holy! No, no, NO, NOOOOO!
 
Bor slowly stands up from the explosion and roars a bestial cry at Thor.
 
THOR
Whatever you are, god or demon, I will kill you!
 
Thor charges and tackles Bor to the ground, punching him repeatedly in the face. Each punch creates a shockwave that cracks the ground around them.
 
THOR
(Angrily)
GIVE, (punches) ME, (punches) BACK, (punches) MY, (punches) HAMMER!
 
Bor summons Mjolnir to him and knocks Thor back down the road. Bor then charges the hammer with bright orange energy, splitting it in two and causing a massive explosion that obliterates the city, killing him and knocking Thor out.
FADE TO BLACK
 
 
Int. Odin’s throne room.
FADE IN
THOR
(Wakes, opens eyes and sleepily looks around)
Whe… where am I?
 
ODIN
Thor, prince of Asgard, For the crime of Parricide you are charged with high treason.
 
THOR
(Looks around, sees he is in a stocks, chained to the floor. In front of Odin’s throne is Mjolnir, broken in half)
What is going on? Why am I imprisoned?
 
ODIN
You have committed the worst of crimes; you have killed a king of Asgard, my father! (Stands up angrily) Why Thor? Why would you kill your grandfather? Were you concerned for your place on the throne? Speak up now, defend yourself!
 
THOR
What I fought was a monster, a demon, not a king! It was an evil creature that..
 
ODIN
NO! That was Bor, the All-father of Asgard! I know not how he returned from death but I know this, his blood is on your hands!
 
THOR
Father…
 
ODIN
NO! I will hear no more of your lies, of your insolence! For your crimes you are hereby banished from Asgard, Midgard and the rest of the nine realms. You shall float in the void of Ginnungagap for the rest of your days!
 
A portal opens up behind Thor into which he is blasted by Odin.
 
ODIN
Leave me!
 
The Asgardians leave Odin’s presence quickly. Odin sits down upon his throne and after putting up a protective field to keep Heimdall from seeing, he throws off his disguise as Odin. Loki sends out an illusion of himself to Earth.
 
LOKI
Hello Father. Enjoying life among mortals?
 
ODIN (Homeless beggar)
Come to mock, to gloat in your victory? Go on then, brag of how you defeated an old man in the midst of his sleep.
 
LOKI
Thor is banished. He, like you, shall not interfere with my plans.
 
ODIN
Don’t be a fool Loki, All of thi…
 
LOKI
I am no fool, you are! I am forced to do this because you were too blind to see the truth. I will be remembered as the great king who…
 
ODIN
I have seen visions. I have seen what is coming. Your plans are useless, there is nothing you can do, in the end, everything dies.
 
LOKI
You know nothing! Go back to your moaning and begging, I have the future of Asgard to attend to.
 
Loki’s image fades and Odin goes back to walking with his end is nigh sign.
 
FADE OUT
 
 
Int.  Cell
THOR
(Wakes up)
I… I’m not dead.
 
Outside Thor hears the sound of crowds cheering and warriors fighting to the death. Suddenly a voice comes over the loudspeaker.
 
THE GRANDMASTER
Are you enjoying the show! (Fans cheer) Well then you’re gonna love this! IT’S TIME FOR A BATTLE ROYAL! 50 enter but only one will join last night’s winner in…. MORTAL COMBAT! LET’S GET READY TO RUUUUUUUUMBLE!
 
The door opens and Thor walks out into the light. The door shuts behind him and immediately the carnage begins. Thor is blind-sided by a Kronan and smashed into a wall.
 
THOR
You have made a graveUUURK! (Thor gets punched in the gut, he smiles) HAVE AT THEE! (Punches Kronan across the arena, smashing him to pebbles)
 
Thor fights and destroys all the other gladiators, while the music HAMMER TIME plays.
 
THE GRANDMASTER
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED! (The crowd cheers) Tomorrow is the main event! Two enter, one comes out a champion! Remember to buy your commemorative T-shirts!
 
Thor looks down and sees strange bracelets on his arms. They activate and magnetically drag Thor back to his cage.
 
THOR
Let me out! Set me free! I am the Odinson, prince of the nine realms! Let meAAAAAAARGHH!
 
Thor falls to the ground clutching his head from the pain of the psychic attack. He sits down in his cell, contemplating what has happened.
 
THOR
Father… forgive me…
 
FADE OUT
 
THE GRANDMASTER
Wake up sleepy head! IT’S TIME FOR THE SHOW!
 
Thor gets up and steps into the light.
 
THE GRANDMASTER
It’s the moment you have all been waiting for…. THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH! (Crowd cheers) In the right corner, weighing in at 320 pounds, THE ODINSON!!! (Crowd boos) And in the left corner, weighing in at 1,400 pounds, the monster, the savage, THE INCREDIBLE HUUUUUUUUUUUULK! (Crowd cheers wildly)
 
THOR
(Shocked expression, turning to relief)
Banner? Banner! It gladdens my heart to see thee.
 
HULK
I AM HULK! HULK HATE PUNY BANNER!
 
THOR
Calm yourself Banner, I am your friend, remember me, Thor?
 
HULK
HULK CRUSH PUNY THOR! AAAAAAAAAARGH!
 
Hulk punches Thor across the arena, then leaps over and smashes him. Hulk gets ready to smash Thor again.
 
HULK
HULK SMASH!
 
THOR
Listen to me! (Grabs hulk’s fist) We can work together!
 
HULK
NO!
 
THOR
Fine then.
 
Thor punches Hulk in the gut then grabs his arm and chucks him back across the arena.
 
THOR
HAVE AT THEE TROLL!
 
HULK
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
 
Thor and hulk charge at each other whilst the crowd cheers wildly. Thor dodges a punch from Hulk and hits him with an uppercut. Thor continues to dodge Hulk’s punches and land a few shots of his own.
 
THE GRANDMASTER
Can you DIG IT! (The crowd cheers) How about we crank up this rage machine, TO RADIOACTIVE! (Pulls lever) I’M LOVIN IT! WOOOOOOOOOO!
 
The Hulk’s eyes glow yellow and he falls to the ground, smashing the ground creating a huge cloud of dust, obscuring everyone’s view.
 
HULK
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! EEEAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!
 
THOR
What in Odin’s name…
 
The cloud of dust dissipates and Hulk turns around, 10 ft tall and glowing with gamma energy. Thor catches a glimpse of a mechanism stuck in the back of Hulk’s neck.
 
THOR
(Looks to the heavens)
Father, if you can hear me, forgive me of my sins and give me strength.
 
Hulk punches Thor in the gut, and then sends him sprawling across the arena. Hulk runs over and punches him again and again, throwing him around like a rag doll.
 
THE GRANDMASTER

Hulk holds up Thor by his throat as the fans cheer.
 
THE GRANDMASTER
FINISH HIM!
 
Thor grabs Hulk’s arm while looking to the heavens. Everyone looks up and sees a massive storm has rolled in.
 
THOR
FOR ASGARD!
 
Lightning bolts strike the Arena and hurricane winds tear at its walls and foundations. A Huge bolt strikes the Hulk and Thor, causing a massive explosion.
 
FADE OUT
 
The Grandmaster stands up, dazed from the explosion. He looks around and sees Thor and Hulk coming towards him. He tries to run but trips and falls, Thor picks him up by the throat and slams him into the wall.
 
THOR
How did you acquire this you filthy vamr! (Holds up the orb which was inside Hulk’s neck. On it are Asgardian markings and circuits)
 
THE GRANDMASTER
I’ll never tell you! NEVER! (Thor punches him in the face, cracking the wall behind him) OK! OK! I’ll tell you! (Wipes away blood) The Asgardian king gave it to me, said I should use it on Hulk…
 
THOR
Wait! Odin gave this to you?
 
THE GRANDMASTER
PFFT! No, it was Loki. He said to have some fun with the Hulk then…Wait, what are you doing?
 
THOR
He’s all yours Hulk.
 
Thor goes to free the remaining gladiators while Hulk smashes The Grandmaster around like a ragdoll. Thor finishes freeing the gladiators and heads back out just in time to see Hulk about to leave.
 
THOR
HULK! Wait! Don’t leave; come with me on my quest.
 
HULK
No. I’m going to go somewhere I can be alone, somewhere desolate and lifeless where the Hulk can’t hurt anyone.
 
Hulk begins to start up the ship.
 
THOR
WAIT! I can reward you for your aid!
 
HULK
You don’t have anything I want!
 
THOR
Help me take the throne of Asgard, and I shall free you both.
 
HULK
You… you’re lying! You can’t do that!
 
THOR
When I am king I shall control the Odin power, and with it I shall free you of the Hulk. What have you got to lose?
 
Hulk thinks it over then angrily opens the door to his ship. Thor enters.
 
HULK
If you’re lying Hulk will smash you.
 
THOR
Very well, now move aside, I’m driving.
 
The space ship unsteadily takes off.
FADE OUT
 
 
Int.  Odin’s Throne room.
AESIR GUARD
My lord Odin, A message from Heimdall.
 
ODIN
Speak.
 
AESIR GUARD
A massive fleet is approaching, and at its head, a formidable purple skinned giant.
 
ODIN
(Stands up from his throne)
Summon my royal guard; I shall meet these newcomers at the Bifrost.
 
AESIR GUARD
Yes my king. (Hurries off)
 
FADE OUT
 
Ext. The BIFROST
Odin strolls forward followed by his royal guard, at the end of the bridge sits Thanos on his floating throne.
 
ODIN
Ho Thanos! I trust you’re…
 
THANOS
Be quiet! I did not come to make conversation; I came to receive what is rightfully mine. Give me the Tesseract!
 
ODIN
Very well Thanos. (Beckons guards to bring forward a large box) Here it is, as we agreed. Now that our deal is done…
 
THANOS
No. I will not leave until I have seen the Tesseract and held it in my hand, I know of your tricks.
 
ODIN
You insult me Titan. Go on then, open it.
 
Thanos opens the box and takes out the Tesseract, holding it in his hand.
 
THANOS
Now that I have my prize, you are of no use to me.
 
ODIN
(Snaps fingers and laughs)
Stupid mortal.
The illusion dissipates and in Thanos hand is the casket of ancient winters. The casket opens, unleashing its fury on Thanos and his fleet, freezing them immediately.
 
ODIN
(Turns toward army, arms raised in triumph)
This is the power of Asgard! Look upon these mortal worms, frozen forever. None can stand against the might of Odin!
 
Thanos busts out of the ice and teleports behind Loki.
 
THANOS
You are not Odin! (Slaps Loki causing him to lose his disguise) You are a worthless godling, no, you’re a useless monster! (Grabs Loki by the throat, choking him, causing Loki to turn blue)
 
LOKI
FOOL! No one can stand against the Odin power!
 
Loki blasts Thanos off of him.
 
LOKI
I will erase thee from existence! Prepare for oblivion!
 
Loki begins to disintegrate Thanos soul, but a black Aura appears around it, throwing Loki back.
 
THANOS
(Smiles and slowly walks forward)
 
 
You are no god, I have been in the presence of god and she is displeased with your kind. You are a stain on the universe, a relic of the distant past that won’t fade away! I will sacrifice this realm to death, and if that does not satisfy her, the whole universe as well!
 
LOKI
You are mad!
 
THANOS
(Laughing)
Yes, yes I am.
 
Loki teleports back to the throne room, resuming his guise as Odin. Thanos, now in possession of the Casket decimates Heimdall and the troops gathered at the Bifrost. Thanos uses the Bifrost to summon an army of Jotuns and Trolls, which make their way toward Asgard. Loki (Odin) puts up a protective shield around Odin’s palace where he, Sif, the warriors three and an army of Asgardians retreat to.
 
FADE OUT
 
 
Int.  Spaceship
HULK
Do you know where were going?
 
THOR
Yes, of course I do. I have travelled the nine realms many times.
 
HULK
Have you ever done it without the Bifrost?
 
THOR
(Reluctantly)
No.
 
HULK
SO WERE LOST!
 
THOR
We are not lost!
 
HULK
Let me drive!
 
THOR
No! I am the prince of Asgard, and as such I get to drive!
 
HULK
I can trace Asgardian energy signatures, which will point us in the right direction.
 
THOR
Why didn’t you say that before?
 
Thor gets up and let’s Hulk sit in the driver’s seat. Hulk sits and crushes the chair.
 
THOR
Hahaha!
 
HULK
Be QUIET!
 
THOR
Very well, very well.
 
Hulk tries to modify the trackers to track Asgardian energy, but his fingers are too large. Hulk accidentally hits random buttons making a disco ball lower and crazy lights flash around.
 
THOR
What are you doing?!
 
HULK
Let me concentrate!
 
THOR
No! I shall drive. (Tries to grab the steering)
 
HULK
NO! GET AWAY!
 
Hulk accidentally opens the airlock, sucking them both out into space.
 
THOR
Well this sucks.
 
HULK
Stupid Blonde.
 
THOR
What didst thou call me!?
 
HULK
You heard me!
 
Thor and Hulk try to swing at each other but they simply flail around. Suddenly a portal opens up sucking them into it. Thor and Hulk fly out of the other side of the portal, smashing into the ground. Suddenly they are surrounded by winged warrior women on winged horses.
 
HULK
(Looks around)
Am I in Heaven?
 
THOR
(Hurriedly stands to his feet)
Up Hulk, guard thyself!
 
HULK
Why?
 
THOR
These are the Valkyrior, Angels and Choosers of the slain. Their presence means death!
 
BRUNNHILDA
Calm yourself Asgardian, we mean you no harm. The queen of Heven would speak with you.
 
Thor and Hulk are guided by their captors through the realm of Heven towards the great Tower of the Queen. As they walk they see great floating towers and halls, and the Valkyrie arming for battle. They are led through the doors and onto a platform that ascends swiftly up the tower.
 
HULK
The technology is astounding! I… I can’t comprehend it.
 
THOR
Hulk, how is it you speak in this manner? Don’t you lose your intellect after your transformation?
 
HULK
(Angrily)
You calling Hulk stupid!
 
THOR
No! I’m just curious.
 
HULK
(Calming down)
I, I don’t know. Maybe it was a mixture of the lightning and the gamma radiation…
 
THOR
Perhaps Banner and the Hulk could co-exist together, perhaps…
 
HULK
(Roars)
NO! (Valkyrie point spears at Hulk, Hulk calms down) No. Hulk must be free of Banner, and Banner must be free of Hulk. We cannot live together. Banner wants normal life and family; Hulk wants to be left alone.
 
THOR
I promise you Hulk, on my life, both you and Banner shall be free.
 
Suddenly the mystic elevator reaches its destination. Thor and Hulk are ushered into the throne room of the Queen.
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
Hail Thor Odinson, Hail Hulk, welcome to Heven.
 
THOR
Why have you brought us here?
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
You are brave son of Odin, that is good; you will need all the courage you have for what lies ahead.
 
THOR
I must away to Asgard; Loki has killed my Father and usurped the throne. My people need me…
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
No Thor, not just your people. (Beckons to her guards) Take the mortal down to the armouries, perhaps he shall find something of use. (Turns to Thor) I have much to tell you, and very little time.
 
THOR
Say on then.
 
The Queen waves her hand and a large glass mirror floats up in front of Thor.
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
Look into the mirror.
 
Thor looks and sees Asgards walls broken down, its towers toppled, and its people slain. He sees Jotuns and Trolls flooding through the streets, laying siege to Odin’s great hall, which is protected by a force field.
 
THOR
(Shocked, stumbles back)
NO! This can’t be possible!
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
It is possible. The day of Ragnarok is upon us.
 
THOR
I must face my destiny!
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
No Thor, you are the only one who can end this once and for all.
 
THOR
How? Ragnarok is the doom of the gods, the end of all things, none can stand against it.
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
Listen to me, for what I am about to tell you is of the upmost importance.
 
Thor exits the Queen’s tower with a look of deep sadness on his face. He walks over to Hulk.
 
HULK
You ok?
 
THOR
Yes, I’m fine.  We must leave in great haste.
 
Suddenly a large dark shadow falls over everything.
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
Fly my heroes! (Creates a portal) Go! The fate of the nine realms is in your hands!
 
Thor and Hulk jump through the portal. Out of the cloud of Darkness a giant figure appears.
 
HELA
This day Heven falls to Hel!
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
Stand strong Valkyrior! Before this day is over we shall strike a blow at death itself!
 
The Valkyrie charge into the air to attack death. Brunnhilda is about to charge when the Queen stops her.
 
QUEEN OF ANGELS
No Brunnhilda. Go, guide the heroes on their quest.
 
 Brunnhilda flies through the portal.  The Queen and her angels charge at Death, slashing with swords and blasting with magic. The Queen unleashes a massive wave of magic at Death, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Hela unleashes her dark power, exploding the floating city of Heven.
 
FADE OUT
 
 
Hulk and Thor step out of the portal.
 
THOR
Welcome, to Muspelheim, home of demons.
 
HULK
Hulk don’t like this place.
 
THOR
Fear not friend! The mighty Thor… AAAAAAAAAAH!
 
HULK
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
 
BRUNNHILDA
I have come to guide you on your journey, do not be afraid.
 
THOR
I, I’m not afraid. Why do you look like a ghost Valkyrie?
 
BRUNNHILDA
Outside of Heven Valkyrie are but spirits. I can guide you, but I cannot fight foes of flesh and blood.
 
THOR
Alright then, lead on.
 
Valkyrie leads Thor and Hulk through the realm of Muspelheim, on the way they see millions of souls floating aimlessly.
 
HULK
What are those?
 
BRUNNHILDA
Souls of the dead, unable to pass into Hel.
 
The souls turn toward the Valkyrie.
 
SOULS
(Moaning)
Heeeeellp ussssssss! Heeeeeelllp ussss!
 
BRUNNHILDA
Go! I shall distract them. You know what you must do.
 
Brunnhilda distracts and battles the Souls while Thor and Hulk climb the cliff side. Upon reaching the top they behold a terrifying sight. Surtur sits, chained to the ground, impaled into the mountainside by the great sword, TWILIGHT.
 
SURTUR
Ho Thor, come to end me? HA! I smell mortal blood; have brought a pet, little godling?
 
HULK
HULK NOT PET!
 
THOR
I have not come to fight thee, but to free thee.
 
SURTUR
(Looks up surprised)
Free me?! Really? Do not jest with me godling! I am Surtur, Lord of the flame, bane of the gods! I am Odin’s nightmare, king of demons! You would dare free me?
 
THOR
Aye.
 
HULK
Wait, what?
 
THOR
Trust me Hulk, this is the only way.
 
SURTUR
Hahaha! The Odinson frees the great enemy of Asgard, destiny is a strange thing.
 
Thor and Hulk leap down from the cliff. Thor and Hulk grab the massive chain attached to the sword and pull.
 
THOR
Pull! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
 
HULK
RRRAAAAAAAAARGH!
 
Thor and Hulk wrench the giant sword from Surtur’s gut; they then use the sword to cut the chains from his arms.
 
SURTUR
BY THE GINNUNGAGAP! I AM FREE!
 
Surtur Looks to the sky and roars, demons begin to crawl from every cave and crevice in Muspelheim, the dimensional boundary between Muspelheim and the other realms begins to tear asunder.
 
SURTUR
I thank thee, god of thunder. I go to destroy, but I shall grant thee anything you ask that is within my power.
 
THOR
Transport us to Odin’s hall, and fix my broken hammer.
 
SURTUR
Take this Odinson, (hands Thor a ball of flame) a fraction of the eternal flame; use it to re-forge the great hammer.
 
Surtur waves his hand and Thor, Hulk and Valkyrie are teleported to Odin’s hall. Surtur ascends through the great dimensional tear, millions of demons in his wake. Thor and Hulk materialize in Odin’s Throne room.
 
THOR
Loki!
 
ODIN (Loki)
Thor! Come to usurp my throne have you? Sif, warriors three, destroy him and the troll!
 
Sif and the warriors three attack, but are knocked down by Hulk’s thunder clap.
 
HULK
Hulk SMASH!
 
ODIN (Loki)
Kill the Hulk! I shall deal with Thor myself.
 
BRUNNHILDA
Hold up the flame! It shall show his true identity!
 
THOR
No more disguises Loki!
 
Thor holds up the ball of eternal flame, its heat and Magic cause Loki’s skin to start turning blue. The warriors three and Sif realize they have been tricked, after a moment of shock they leap into action.
 
SIF AND THE WARRIORS THREE
FOR ASGARD!
 
LOKI
I didn’t want to do this.
 
Loki blasts Sif and the warriors three, disintegrating them.
 
THOR
(Horrified cry)
NOOOOOOOOO! NOOO!
 
Thor rushes over to the ashes and falls down on his knees.
 
LOKI
(Teary eyed)
There is nothing left to do, nothing can stop Ragnarok! At least before all is destroyed I shall have my revenge.
 
Loki shoots a soul searing beam at Thor but Hulk jumps in front; the Hulk stands his ground even as the beam tears at his body and soul.
 
LOKI
(Shocked)
How are you surviving this? No human can stand against the Odinforce!
 
HULK
I am no human, I AM HULK!
 
Hulk falls to his knees, finally about to be obliterated. Thor rushes over to Mjolnir using the eternal flame to fuse it back together.
 
THOR
HAVE AT THEE!
 
Thor hurls his hammer, knocking Loki to the ground. Hulk collapses.
 
LOKI
Thor you fool, you cannot stand against the Odinpower!
 
Loki shoots at Thor but he dodges and deflects it. Thor grabs Loki and throws him into Odin’s throne, breaking it open, revealing the hidden Odinsword. Thor grabs the Odinsword.
 
THOR
Surrender the power to me Loki, or I shall take it by Force!
 
LOKI
Kill me then brother! KILL ME!
 
Loki unleashes a powerful beam from both hands, but Thor blocks it with the Odinsword. Thor struggles to stand but walks slowly through Loki’s onslaught, impaling him. The Odinforce leaves Loki and enters Thor.
 
LOKI
What I did, I did for Asgard… I… foresaw Ragnarok, I… I…
 
THOR
(Holding Loki in his arms)
I know brother, I know.
 
LOKI

HA!... well that promise doesn’t count for much… since Odin shall perish as well. If you survive, remember me as I was in our early days, (cough cough) the handsome, silver tongued god…. who always got you out of trouble. (Looks to the sky) M… Mother… (Dies)
 
Thor mournfully cries, but he stops quickly, for he remembers that his quest is not over.
 
THOR
Hulk, Banner, I hereby separate thee.
 
Thor uses the Odinforce to split the Hulk and Banner into two different beings; he then opens two different portals and sends them through. Thor picks up the Odinsword and heads out of the palace, taking the tesseract with him.
 
THOR
(Shocked)
By all that is holy…
 
The Bifrost had been used by Thanos to rip the boundaries between the realms apart, trolls, giants, elves, dwarves and any other race in the nine realms (other than Midgard) fight and die in the churning void, and in the midst of it are Surtur and Ymir, fighting to the death. Suddenly Hela appears in front of Thor.
 
HELA
The mighty Thor, last god of Asgard, how does it feel to be helpless?
 
THOR
I am far from helpless wench! (Blasts apparition)
 
HELA
HAHAHAHA! I am death itself, you cannot harm me! I shall watch as you die in the void, never to be seen again.
 
Thor looks and sees Thanos about to unleash the Bifrost on Earth.
 
THOR
FOR MIDGARD! (Strikes the Bifrost machine with lightning, destroying it.)
 
Thanos is about to attack but Hela stops him.
 
HELA
No my lover, let him die helplessly in the void. Go, sit comfortably and watch the destruction.
 
Hela teleports Thanos and his fleet to a safe distance.
 
HELA
(Turns to Thor)
Today the universe is rid of its imbalance. (Disappears)
 
The realms begin to merge, time and space becomes meaningless, all around is chaos.
 
BRUNNHILDA
Wait till the realms are merged and Surtur unleashes his power!
 
Thor waits, seeing the destruction around him as the realms merge. Surtur smites down Ymir. Surtur flies up into the air, and then uses the Twilight sword to unleash his power, beginning to burn the realms to ash.
 
BRUNNHILDA
NOW!
 
Thor unleashes the power of the Tesseract into the midst of the void, and then he leaps into it. As Thor falls he sees the realms being burnt to ash, but just before the flame reaches him, he falls through the portal created by the Tesseract.
 
THOR
By all that is holy…
 
Thor sees floating before him the great world tree, Yggdrasil, it glows with cosmic power. Inside of Yggdrasil is the realm of Valhalla, the realm of the Soul stone.
 
BRUNNHILDA
You know what you must do.
 
THOR
You’re absolutely certain this is what needs to be done?
 
BRUNNHILDA
No, but it is your only hope now.
 
Thor floats over to the world tree and lies against it, then he levitates the Odinsword out in front of him.
 
THOR
FOR ASGARD!
 
Thor causes the Odinsword to impale him on the tree.
 
THOR
It… is done…
 
Thor’s eyes close, he sees every moment of his life pass before his eyes, and then everything goes black.
 
BRUNNHILDA
The end has come, all is lost.
 
Brunnhilda begins to walk away; suddenly she notices a bright glow behind her. Brunnhilda turns around and sees Thor glowing, radiating power.
 
THOR
I can see EVERYTHING!
 
Thor sees the whole history of Asgard, he sees the many previous Ragnaroks, the many incarnations of gods, he sees back in time all the way to the beginning. Thor see how the gods were cursed for defying THOSE WHO SIT ABOVE IN SHADOW, how the gods were locked in their dimensions, their power stripped from them. Thor sees how the first Odin dared to defy THOSE WHO SIT ABOVE IN SHADOW, how he slew several of their kind, and how for his insolence the gods of Asgard were cursed to repeat their mistakes, each time losing a little more of their divinity until they would eventually fade away. Into himself Thor absorbs the souls of the nine realms from across the ages. On earth Odin looks to the heavens.
 
THUG 1
Whatcha lookin at old man? Huh?
 
THUG 2
(Spits at Odin)
Answer us stupid!
 
ODIN
(Joyful tears in his eyes)
It is finished…
 
Odin begins to glow and change form, ascending into the sky, he now looks like the great god he is. The thugs stare, dumbfounded at what they have seen. Odin ascends and is absorbed into Thor.
 
Thor floats down from Yggdrasil, eyes glowing with divine power.
 
THOR
Brunnhilda, I hereby task you with warning earth of what is to come, for I have seen an even greater Ragnarok is coming, one which shall shake the very foundations of the universe.
 
Thor sends Brunnhilda’s soul to earth, where she takes the form of a human being. As Yggdrasil decays Thor opens a portal and enters the void that was once Asgard.
 
THOR
There is no use hiding.
 
Out of the blackness emerge THOSE WHO SIT ABOVE IN SHADOW.
 
THE CELESTIALS (THOSE WHO SIT ABOVE IN SHADOW)
Thor Odinson, your power is great for none has ever escaped our machinations. We invite you to join us as an overseer of the universe.
 
THOR
I will make no deal with you.
 
THE CELESTIALS
We oversee life on all planets and realms, we guide evolution, we are the laws of the universe. Join us, you could aid the humans, we know how much you care for them, you could guide their evolution, bring them into a glorious future. Join us and you shall have power, knowledge and glory beyond comprehension, for with us nothing is impossible.
 
THOR
Fools, you think you can escape vengeance with presents and gifts? You are like children, caught in the act, thinking your crying will bring you mercy but it will not. You have killed billions, tortured millions, and blasphemously dared to set yourselves above the gods, for these things and many more you shall be punished this day.
 
Thor begins to glow with power, and in his hands the power of the nine realms from across the ages burns bright.
 
THOR
Celestials, this day I AM YOUR RAGNAROK!
 
Thor unleashes his power upon the Celestials, wiping them from existence. The power of the attack is felt throughout the universe. Thor floats through the void, beginning to fade. Hela appears.
 
HELA
You insolent fool! Even after all of this your people are dead, and you shall soon join them.
 
Hela tries to suck the souls of the nine realms from Thor, but she is blasted back.
 
HELA
It is no matter, you may have avenged your people, but it is all for nothing, in the end, everything dies.
 
Hela disappears leaving Thor to drift in the void. Thor lifts his hammer, perhaps for the last time.
 
THOR
(Lifts the hammer to his lips)
*whisper, whisper* Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.
 
The hammer glows orange for a moment, then Thor throws it with all his might into the void of space.
 
THOR
Now, I rest.
 
Thor fades away, in his place is the Soul stone, floating in place. Thanos flies in and grabs the Soul stone and the Tesseract.
 
POST CREDITS SCENE
Mjolnir floats through space toward a wrecked spaceship.
