Sure, Rosie, doesn't have a terribly long acting resume -- this is her first and, thus far, only feature film -- but she is a member of one of the most elite groups in modeldom: She's a Victoria's Secret Angel. She's also the face of Burberry and Maxim magazine dubbed her this year's "hottest woman on earth."

Though she might have made her name in the ultra-glamorous world of high fashion, Rosie grew up on a farm in Devonshire, England, where her family raised ducks, cows, and pigs. By her own admission, though, farm life didn't suit her. Not long after being voted "Girl Most Likely To Become a Supermodel" in school, she left the countryside for London. She landed her first modeling gig at the tender age of 16

Rosie's biggest problem when she started modeling was that she was born with lady-like curves. "When I started modeling, I was definitely heavier," she told the Daily Telegraph. "I was quite voluptuous in fact. I had a real baby face and baby fat. But I was a baby! I was told I had to get into better shape, but I'm quite stubborn so I didn't." She credits her new svelte figure to nature. "My baby fat naturally melted away as I got older."

Rosie, star of "Transformers 3," is dating Jason Statham, star of "Transporter 3." The two were first spotted together during the 2010 Coachella Music Fest and have been an item ever since. Statham is almost 20 years older than Huntington-Whiteley, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for the couple. "We love each other," she told US magazine.

Rosie was as surprised as anyone when she landed the film's lead role. "I went to the audition and really I knew nothing about the role," Huntington-Whiteley told MTV. "I went in completely not knowing what I was doing. I left feeling not confident." She didn't have long to fret, though. A few days after the audition, director Michael Bay called her up and gave her the news. "Yeah, you're the girl," she recalled him saying.

"Transformers" wasn't the first time Huntington-Whiteley worked with Bay. They first met on the shoot for the 2009 Victoria's Secret Christmas commercial, where he reportedly dumped her in the middle of the desert, wearing nothing but high heels, lingerie, and a cape, and had her walk, runway-style, a half-mile back to the set. A good introduction, no doubt, for working with the famously tough director

When audiences catch "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" this week, they are going to notice a few differences in Michael Bay's spectacular giant-robot franchise:

1) This movie will be better than the last one. Critics savaged "Transformers 2" and even Bay admitted that the flick wasn't very good. He's promised, however, that this one will rock.

2) This movie is in 3D. That's right. Robot fists and debris from a trashed urban center will come flying right at you.

3) After publicly comparing her employer to Hitler -- never a wise move if you value job security -- Megan Fox has been replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. So who is this tall, blue-eyed lass with an exceedingly English-sounding name? Click ahead and learn some fun facts about Hollywood's newest "it" girl
