Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen may have only just been released, but Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks SKG are already planning on Transformers 3 for Friday, 1st July 2011.
BUT back in March, director Michael Bay mentioned he would only do Transformers 3 if it was release a year later in 2012, yet Paramount still has the 2011 date, which ultimately brings the key question, will Paramount wait at extra year to keep Bay or rush out a sequel?
Associated Content have discussed this point, and it seems we will be waiting 3 years, around the London 2012 Olympics, for more bot action. Despite Bay being back, the extra year should give the writers more time to flesh out a story that is more coherent. At least we hope it will.
