@Intruder: I never said i believed the transformers franchise is good. yes, i liked the first one and thought the second one fell short but to condem a movie before you have even seen a trailer is a little sad. you're probably the guy who goes into every movie searching for whats wrong rather than just enjoying the freaking movie.

This movie will go back in time and we will see the transformers like they were in the 80's cartoon. It will be a tribute to the old show for the final film.

brashlight@ those films you listed are not good films. the first bad boys was ok but the second one was atrocious. the rock was ok but nothing to write home about. other than that his films suck, including the island and have you forgotten about pearl harbor? that movie was possibly as bad as revenge of the fallen. its just my opinion, if you like his movies great, and thats why you think this will be ok. i dont generally like his movies and they have gotten worse over time, with ROTF being the abomination that it was. so i have no hope this one will be better. if it is i will be the first to admit i was wrong. for your sake i hope i am.

i live in milwaukee, didn't get a chance to go see them but two friends of mine were cast as extras in the movie.

I'm siding with Brashlight on this one and this goes to practically every last one of you. I'd like to say you know who you are, but sadly you won't. The sad part about this site and some of the members that post is that all that is ever done is speculate about what's going to happen in an upcoming movie, tell every little detail so that by the time the movie is out we know every single detail down to the Foley's name and what they ordered for lunch. And you wonder why the movie wasn't as exciting as you thought it would be? With every comic book movie that is made, you critique it down to the letter, explaining like a bunch of fanboy geeks how horrid this movie will be and how much it shall fail. Then the movie hits the theaters and you go stark raving mad as to how awesome the flick was with vivid details of your experience, possibly some minor complaints, but nevertheless... a thumbs up. Then, years go by and either sequals are made or reboots and here you come again about how horrid the movie(s) stunk. It's the actors, or the director, or Hell blame FOX!! I'm sorry for ranting, but GOD!!! DAMN!!! STOP WHINING!!!

Well I know I will be spending my hard earned money on this film its toys its BluRays its everything like I always do and my kids will watch it over and over as will my wife and I. And most of all the people saying this franchise sucks will spend money on it as well because they have spent so much time hating on it you know they will be there to watch it. So its not a fail in any sense of the word and Bay makes movies people want to see. If I wanted to see a love story I would go watch dear john or the note book and I have yet to do so. So who is down to play some G1 Vs Movie verse Transformers at my house lol no but really that would be sweeeet.

Why does Bay always feel it's necessary to put "something for everyone" in these movies. As if alien robots on Earth doesn't leave one with enough creative options. As soon as Fox dropped out, he had an opportunity to insert a heroine who, I don't know, is an actress with some credibility, and instead what does he do? Puts in someone who gets paid to wear pantes. Bravo. "We'll put Dr. McDreamy in there for the ladies...oh, and John Malkovich for those looking for an actor with some credibility..." Here's an idea: STOP MAKING IT ABOUT PEOPLE. I didn't wait from 1984 to now to see Optimus Prime backing up another story about U.S. soldiers saving us from robot terrorists. The cartoon had Spike, his dad, and occassionally a paralyzed side-kick or General Hawk's daughter. Isn't that enough?

he quite cause the last movie had him crying out oil from his frigen eyes. so they got a cheaper replacement.
