He looks scary and cool but not as mechanical as he should. I mean he is a robot.
ManofBass

People keep saying that, but isnt the point that they are aliens who take the form of machines. if thats the case, they would still have mouths and noses. They wouldn't be 100% mechanical

How is the franchise ruined?

The first one was great, and Megan Fox is back for the second one.

What the hell is there possibly to complain about, Ino?

I think it should be pretty sweet. I mean sure, Hollywood managed to screw up the storyline a little bit with the first one, but that's gunna be with any original piece of work the film industry gets their hands on. I personally liked the first movie, and in Hollywoods defense, it would be not only damn near impossible to transfer every detail of the cartoon over to live action, but pretty lame as well. I mean could anyone really see Blurr as a serious character in the live action movies???

For me it's small and personal things saymekian. For example, they kept the original transformation sound (which I find pretty silly and unrealistic) and changed aspects about the robots that were unnecessary and really made them not believable. The point of live action movies is to make them feel real, which is exactly what Nolan did with Batman, with great success. But I won't go on because a lot of people enjoyed the movie and besides my opinion won't influence any of it's $$$ profit.

Everyone does agree that the cartoon movie was way better then the real life one correct??

"kept the original transformation sound", original source = cartoon. Read properly before replying.

If you enjoyed the movie, good for you. Now don't go around posting passionate and nonsensical outbursts + insults and respect others points of view.

personally, I think our generation suffers from the fact that we will never have to "grow up" and get rid of the "kiddie" things that our parents had to when they turned 16 or so..

Our generation (as well as others) holds the things that we grew up with to such a high regard that the expectations for the masses seem to unreachable.

And yes, live action movies are supposed to feel real, but with a heightened sense of that reality. But what is real, when it comes to a movie? Plausible action sequences? Why? Doesn't Mythbusters spend a considerable amount of time exposing the "myths" of films?

It could be anyone in that pic! looks nice and creepy though. i have to agree about the realism thing, i mean Batman is one thing..we are supposed to believe that a man will dress as a flying rat to fight crime..that should be made as believable as possible. But giant alien robots that can change into cars invading earth? im gonna give them a bit of licence with that one..

Hey all, I recently took the poster and brightened it up a bit more. And it kind of reminds me of the Pharaoh's of Egypt. Weird, I know, but here is the link to my Photobucket page:

Check it out. I'll post this in the other thread too.

I own both movies, cartoon and the live action. I love them both. Transformers was my toy back in the day. I didn't care about He-Man, GI Joe or any other toy. Just hearing the transforming sound in the live action movie made feel like a kid again, so I'm glad they put it in the film. Hopefully they put more of it in the sequel. The more I hear about the sequel, the more it makes want to jizz in my shorts. I'm such a geek lol! This goes out to your comment, Logan-X. I agree with you 100%.

Yeah, I see the face is where the decepticon glyph came from, and I see the whole pharaoh motif or Anpu/Anubis look, but if the great pyramid of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, suddenly transform into Set, Heru/Horace, and Ra looking bots and then form into this thing, Devastator style, I'm sorry, but I'm walking out of the theater. Then again seeing as this is Michael “God help me I don’t know when to stop” Bay, that very well could be your climax moment right there.

Hi there, ok I know this makes me old, but do you guys remember the original cartoon movie? remember the multi-head squid like things that sent hot rod and that scurge (i think) into the hole filled with sharkticons (?)? Thats what that pic reminds me of, those creepy little dudes with multiple faces. just my opinion ? ;) awesome poster tho, wicked cool. can't wait to see it.
