GOTHAM: "Prenatal" 'Robin' Confirmed For This Season; No 'Harley Quinn'...Yet

Gotham Showrunner Bruno Heller has provided Entertainment Weekly with a few character updates for the Batman prequel series, and although Robin hasn't actually been born yet on the show's timeline, we will get to see his parents, the Graysons.

We recently reported that the Graysons (whether they'll be "flying" is not yet known) might make an appearance on Gotham this season, and now it's been confirmed by showrunner Bruno Heller. But fans who worried that they show might take even more liberties with character's ages and introduce Robin can rest assured he'll only be a twinkle in his parents' eyes! “We’re going to do a prenatal origin story for Robin down the line,” Heller tells EW. “There are no MRIs involved. There’s an episode coming up where we learn how Robin’s parents got together.” Another character who's been strongly rumoured to show up is The Joker's crazed girlfriend, Harey Quinn, but Heller reckons fans have jumped the gun a bit there. "We haven’t got Harley Quinn in it. Riddler’s girlfriend is coming up. And Harley Quinn is definitely planned for later on, but so far no.” Sounds like she'll make an appearance at some stage though, and with the likes of The Joker and Scarecrow also lined up, we'll have our share of villains and then some anyway. Harley Quinn ? No!
It's getting quite ridiculous now, instead of great storytelling it's doing a SHIELD and seeing how many comicbook references they can throw in each episode. Would Harley be born at this point?!

Dam, we are going to have like 5 different live-action versions of Harley Quinn, all at the same time.

Gotham is a fun time, but it's nothing great. It is getting a little ridiculous with the amount of comic book references they're throwing in.

The Flash > Constantine = Arrow > Gotham

Mike Tyson's Mysteries is better than Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

Yes In this golden age of superheroes on tv and film where we're getting huge crossovers and movies about some of the least likely comic characters, we're finally getting to see that Robin's parents origin story we've all been waiting for!!!

That last part might actually be true. I've got the worst hangover of all time.

Wtf?!?? The Grayson's are an example of how outsiders or visitors of Gotham can be affected by the crime as well. There circus came randomly it was affected by Gotham senseless crime that's what made the origin of robin so important that they weren't from gotham

You know that character you guys all really like? Remember his sidekick that you liked quite a bit too? Ever wonder how the sidekick's parents met? No? Well, we're telling that story anyways.

As long as they don't have some stupid shit about Dick's parents being vigilantes, this could be pretty cool. I wouldn't be surprised if Harley is the same age as Bruce in this.

Still wish this show was set during Batman's time rather than before it. They'd have more opportunities to showcase smaller known villains (Calendar Man, Humpty Dumpty, ect) without actually having to show Bats.
